McKennaDMT Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Ozric Tentacles, oooo yes 299760[/snapback] I STRONGLY second this opinion. Probably the trippiest band off all time. No one makes music quite like they do. If anybody enjoys Ozrics, checkout Blandbladen, you can download a bunch of tracks of theirs at www.blandbladen.tk No one comes close to Ozric Tentacles though. Dragonflier Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Ambient can sometimes be very psychedelic, especially music on the Fax label. Examples: From Within 1-3, Sequential, stuff by Tetsu Inoue etc. I also find stuff by Rabbit In The Moon very psychedelic at times. Check out "Out Of Body Experience" and "Deeper", brilliant stuff. Kelp Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Think that these counts as "psychedelic": Animal Collective and Led Zeppelin. Love them. Quote

Guest Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 the psychedelic/mind-altering effect is something that has run like a 'red line' through all genres I have excessively explored. some styles I am currently into: prog rock, jazz, minimalistic rock, drum & bass/idm, metal, ethnic music. metal is the least psychedelic of these genres for me. but there are some exceptions there as well, like Fredrik Thorendal/Meshuggah. I used to listen alot to stoner rock and 60's psych rock. these are also heavily prominent on the psychedelic effect. Quote
