el brujo
Maybe you know maybe you dont since 94 there has been an annual freeparty in czech it is a typical freeparty the location is given out on last few days no permission of police whatsoever and its a big one nearly like a festival I am for this idea and have always been and make freeparties in Turkey accordingly The party has been raided with nearly 1000 police members They were saying the partypeople were terraspassing other peoples land The society is still far away from grasping the idea of a freeparty 35 partypeople were injured along with nearly the same number of police squad They cant understand it and they connect it to drugs or music I dont know how many of people here are aware (as some ar young) but free party is a much more of a statement than a party It is a belief in another type of a society a transition for a new form social system It was not the music nor the drugs we are making these parties it is our belief in ourselves, that we dont have to HAVE we just have to BE you can check out the images over the internet with the czechtek keyword lets discuss this I am really eager to hear some opinions

el brujo
they can illegalize internet forums too in the coming days (an example) and then noone would be bitchin about anything right younger generations always challenges society and the established forms of auhority this is a way to go ahead and change I dont accept anything because someone else said so It is all about someone got into someone elses property PROPERTY this is what is challenged and it is time that is should (it has been throughout the history in various ways and freeparty movement is another way) maybe a start maybe it cant change anything but someone has to shake the cage

el brujo
ok i understand `i think` where you are looking from but they had already rented the property they are making the party on and czech police does not say ok to czechtek so all they could say is oh ok if police doesnt want it we dont do it cause we have no permit who is to say this? the police the government? if it was like that there would be nothing no revolutions whatsoever nowadays because of our social system it is very far to think of a big revolution and more importantly the revolution has to start within and then carried out in 10s or thousands doesnt matter we are free to show what we do and we do it without violence we do it with dancing and they throw tear gas and rubber bullets pffft and do u know the procedure like in my country for a proper permit anyways

dj mylo
Whoaaaah! That's like not very shanti! next time have the party on PRIVATE land, with the owners permission No permit neccessary. You could say it was a birthday party. Then the Police would be tresspassing.
el brujo
for more info and details It was on a private land with owners permission but the landowners around claimed they have been terasspassing to go to the party site sorry its real bullshit wish i was there there are so many laws to workaround actually like your neighbouring land has to give you a road to your site this obligatory and protected by the law itself so you cant just say they teraspassed anyawys the party and spirit continues

Sour Milk
Now that sucks, you can also expect some police intervention in the big city parties here in MX, just stay where you are, let the dogs sniff you around 40 minutes later music will be on again. We are under a "conservative" regime with a conservative society
heva
Czechtech has had a heavy police presence for the last few years, so it's hardly surprising that they went in with full on riot gear this time. Last year it was a similar deal. In the UK it's very hard to throw a legal outdoor gathering, and I am assuming it's the same over in Czech. Outdoor parties are often busted by the powers that be. Czechtech has got itself a reputation as one of the biggest teknivals europe has to offer, so people will undoubtedly go there, whether its going to be legal or not. I suspect each year more and more people go, and so the authorities just get more and more heavy handed. It's a sad fact, but that's how it is, the authorities are not going to change their mind. The only way to get gatherings to happen nowadays in places such as czech where its hard to throw legal parties is to keep them hush and keep them on a smaller scale. A good party doesn't have to comprise 500 rigs or whatever. I'm by no means saying that I agree with what happened, its fucking outrageous that people just wanting to have a good time are faced with such force. But that doesn't mean that we can't have a 'revolution', it's just that the 'revolution' may have to take a slightly different format than a few thousand people and a shitload of rigs. *shrug*

Not to mention that the most popular candidate for next years presidential elections here in mx is left winged also.
el brujo
thank god some voices against the regime in britain it was very harsh too i ve been to many acid raves that ve been busted but i saw something in britain maybe because of many years of experience it was the team support i saw people getting arrested by police and getting dearrested by freaks i saw police break in from a chucrh door for an illegal rave i saw an lawyer freak saying fuck off at a squat (she knew the way to say it) anyways its not important what ve been through but what i am sick of is peopel going easy and accepting anything by government maybe i am too pro freak and a stereotype but being against this is another one seen that so many times and mostly over internet forums i am just saying the freeparty movement was something social think of the word RAVE who is there to say i can do that in a particular time and place dont you think police or army has better things to do than rioting people that are smiling, dancing, communicating on another level, making love, living love, sharing thoughts.... william blake said dont forget love was once not allowed it is now as much as it can be it ll be more cause it is challenged this czechtek has caused me so much excitement i hope i ve not gone to far but if i were to live morals of my grandpa it would ve been a waste of time by the way it has been stopped at thew fifth day last year

Taika-Kim
I've been SO angry because of this for the whole day. But the only way we can keep the fire burning is to just keep on organizing these events. Nobody, NOBODY can say what we want and can do. They may beat us up, they may arrest us and they may even kill us, but in the end, they can't control our thoughts! And what the HELL is this shite I read at some indymedia site that they're planning to ram through a new law on a very short notice that would make this kind of gatherings forbidden in Czech in the future? My love & all the support for Czech partypeople, -Kim
RAH
well some people tried to make the best of it contrary to popular beleif, the neighboors had no problem with the party all jokes aside... how touching are these two pics? & veryy sad news... it looked like it was going to be one hell of a party.... just as to clear any doubt: Contract with the owner of grass plain was clearly shown to police. There is no indicaion that festival was in any way illegal, every aspect was according to law of Czech Republic.
