lumpi
I often read about aliasing here and aliasing there but I´ve absolutely no clue what that means. Can anyone enlighten me about this one? Thanks

lumpi
Hmm, well, fuck me... google is your friend I guess So practiccally, I can avoid aliasing by setting the sampling rate up to 96KHz, 192KHz or whatever and then dither it down to 48KHz. Or do I have the same problem again then?

lumpi
What are u trying to sample? ultrasonic bat noises? 306327[/snapback] hehe, no... I´m just wondering and like to know. OK, obviously it´s not very important when it comes to sampling. What does it mean in the context of virtual analog synths then? How can a VA produce aliases?
