The first time Ive heard that the french trance scene was getting bigger and bigger was 5 years before.So I don t have illusions anymore.I m sad to say that what you re saying sukanta is false... Pepole are not as open and parties are not as unforgottable as abroad (this is my personal experience at least) Especially in Paris there is a kind of Trance Jet Set, people trying to impress others because they know X or are dressed like this or that... Trance is about loosing your ego and individuality to become one huge dancing pattern (Untity !!) and I think that french people are too selfish, too pretentious to achieve it. (Even though there are some people that I really love to party with and to meet again and again in parties, I'm not saying everybody's like that !! Fortunately !!) OK they are party but If I compare with sweetzerland, we have 10 time more party and we are 10 time smaller, but I think that the problem is somewhere else: many promoters in France are not correct... sure everybody know also this problem of "jet set" in Paris, that is good for us in Switzerland cause french people prefere to drive 4-5 hours till our mountains to have a real fiesta feeling... ;o) but the biggest problems are: unsafe party and really stupid new police laws. These are real shitly problem and for the good people in France that try to do their best to organize real good party it's now really difficult!!! In France the police has now the right to come in a party and take the sound system!!!! Ye this is totally stupid, this is the result of some wankers that was orgnizing party just to sell lot of drugs :this kind of stupid idiots burn the scene on all our planet: they don't care about security of people: don't put sign for exemple when you've got a big hole: result many people die or was in hospital these last years in France because of accident or drugs problem... this is a problem because this is the only stuff you read on the local newspaper after the party !!! the second problem is that many time nobody clean the place after the party!!! so don't be surèprise after it that the farmer or the small lost village don't want anymore any kind of party!!! If someone come in your garden and just let tons of garbage will you guest him again??? so be responsable and don't stand these kind of promoter!!! Their are some really cool people that try to keep alive the french scene and that do their best to organize real party, like rebirth collective around Lyon: tajmahal, HyperFrequencies (check their next album on Mekanic Rec: this is a pure bomb!!!!) Jaia, .... Manu and the Orejona team put an interresting festival the 16 & 17 of august close to Bordeau (just before Boom). L'elf from Turbo trance work a lot also... and don't forget the grand pa: the Total Eclipse familly that push the real live scene... OK enough blabla I wish you all a wonderfull summer. PS and hope that the trance party in France will not come to big: cause the result is that the french musicians have not too much opportunities to play, so they stay in their music studio and they produce fucking excellent music ;o))) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
