moni Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Well, I like the cover. Look how happy these little creatures are! Now they are free! =) 310092 yes and the black doggy looks like he stopped to look at us and to socialise .. and he has Colin's smile and the white one seems seems preoccupied with his jumping/running around free, that must be Andrew. on a more serious note, i think it's a good cover. even though some might see it "too simple" or "childish" or "a joke", it will surely stick to their memory, cause it's so out of the ordinary. the main things are the 2 "free" doggies, and their creator surely let his hand/mind free when he drew them .. and the title: voice of cod / we are free. that's important for a debut album: the group and the album name. also the blue usually represents the colour of happiness and freedom. the shaddows behind the dogs and the background add style and good taste to the cover. and i think the shaddows also make the cover more "real". that's it pretty much i think... now i'll go home. Colin OOOD Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 "sultry manner"? i was serious colin. i work in economics field, aaaand i kinda know when to speak and when to shut up about some stuff (usually ). but i use humour sometimes anyway, you can figure out my country from my profile. if you can't, then you don't deserve to have a groupie like me. YOU better shave and shower or else! (the question is .. do you want a bossy, meanie groupie?) can we negociate? are we getting off topic here? 310094 Transylvania... and I do believe I've just been told off! For you, Moni, I will shave, shower AND brush my teeth. How's that? Glad you like the cover too. I hadn't thought of the blue as being the colour of 'happiness and freedom' though; it's just my favourite and I tend to use it a lot. Quote
Oopie Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I think that text 'voice of cod - we are free' should be done with same sort of style as those dogs... it's not that good as whole now also the background, totally white should be the way Quote

Trishula Records Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 yea, i'm transilvanian and stuff. 310232 Next week I'm heading for Romania and I'll also spend some days in Brasov. I wrote you an email asking some stuff about the transylvanian psyscene and hope you can help me. Maybe I can also manage it to stay over the Sunrise Legacy Festival. btw it's nice to see that the Frechbax cover has been mentioned. The graphics have been created by Laurent Antonini, a very talented french designer. He also made the graphics for the Psyfactor album, the coming Capsula album and the next Trishula compilation, as well as for other labels/artists like the Nimba album. greets Rudra Quote

Guest Rain Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 i wouldn't put religious stuff on the cover of a cd. 309620 if it's for fun no problem but I know what you mean Quote

I can see what you might see a similarity. This is completely different. Sorry if the image is too big and make you have to scroll the screen to the left...hopefully the thread is mostly dead so its nt a big deal. Peace SETH. Quote

moni Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 It's nice. But BEAUTIFUL? Do you know what the word means? 330024 you're close-minded again Cinos. one more post like this and i'll start being rude to you. (which means i'll tell you to fak off and stuff ) that cover is drawn, Cinnie. you like photoshop stuff. keep your comments for the photoshopers then. you know nothing about drawing apparently. still, try to get inside the drawing. see the universe in that cover, colours, detail, get inside the creator's mind. use your imagination, find the psychedelia in it.
