Guest JanUa
it depends on alot of things ... where do you live (plane tickets) how many people are in the band (double prices).... hotel cost's (double or single) ... how big is the name on for how many people will they play ( to get back your money that you invest)... dunno for shiva chandra but a life can depend from about 1000 ----> 3000 us dollars (if not more / always paying in dollars)
Guest panny
thanks a lot janua, one more question, would an artist come even in a country like italy where the scene is not that big? would the artist have to judge how many people are gonna be at the party and all these little factors or would he just come and play... Guest Mindtwister
I think it depends on how much money they get ... =) //Mindtwister
Guest JanUa
nono .. i think none of the artists in the scene have such egos that they don't want to play in a country ... it also depends on the organisation, how they arrange things and stuff ... but it's not for how many but for how little .. i heard someone like Tim Shuldt (i heard! correct me dudes if i'm wrong) doesn't want to play at parties with over 500 people ... to be honest ... the smaller the crowd the intenser the party sometimes can be ... but i think that the artsits on the forum know more about this, help me out guys ;-)
Guest Avogaden
I'm from brasil, and i'm friend with some producers. I might be wrong, but I guess bansi played as dj, not as GMS live act, here in Rio for 1200. I dont know if this number is in dollars or real. ( 1 real = 2,5 dollars ) And astrix asked for 1600, not live, only dj. Well, I guess you can make an ideia. Unfortunatly I have never heard about how much a live act would cost. Guest bugbread
From the little that I've talked with organizers and artists, the size of the audience doesn't usually matter, but the reputability of the organizer (does it seem like they're gonna rip me off and not pay?) and the quality of the location (is it a small club, or is it a castle near a sandy beach surrounded by cliffs) do make a difference. Especially if there are two offers for the same day, artists will generally pick the more interesting locations.
Guest JanUa
Avogaden, that could be completely right ... i heard some prices from around, dj and live, just wanted to give a range ... and yes, sometimes a dj set is just a little cheaper than a live set, so you better always ask for them both ... and that's true Bugbread, it wouldn't be the first artist that gor ripped off ... and for the audiense i was only speaking for Tim Shuldt, don't think it matters alot
