Dragonflier Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 some favorite ozric tracks Eternal Wheel A Gift of Wings Dance of the Loomi Myriapod Sultana Detrii Spiralmind Aurora Borealis 336931[/snapback] Nice list you got there, many of my favourites as well. I tend to like their more electronic influenced tracks the most, not too fond of the guitar dominated tunes. Another favorite is "Crackerblocks", which is more on the chilled side. Quote

qa2pir Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I love their style. It's a shame they're a little too repititive (they use the same scales all the time, sometimes very similar melodies) and the old albums have a little muddy sound to them. It's like it will never be loud no matter how much your blasting your speakers. Anyway, they are good and i am very surprised to find that there are so many bands in this style, and i'm gonna check them out for sure. I see you live in sweden, Nils. Do you have any idea if any of those bands could ever be seen in a regular musicshop? I prefer just taking a bus to the shop and walk in instead of waiting 2 weeks for an internet order Quote
Guest Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I guess you can find some of it at Mellotronen in sthlm. Quote
Daze Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I advice everyone to check out Blandbladen... Three free tracks over here: http://www.audiostreet.net/artist.aspx?artistid=23296 Quote
Guest Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I think they've broke up now though. they only released a CD-R and a split LP. it's damn good stuff though! Quote
Daze Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Oh and I can also recommend an electronica artist called Alias... I know it's not the same at all but his music kind of gives me the same nice feeling as bands like Ozric Check these songs out; Alias - Eyes Closed Alias - Again for the First Time Alias - Unseen Sights Quote
Daze Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Oh and I almost forgot; Øresund Space Collective - Sunrise Øresund Space Collective - OSC Rides Again Check http://www.oresundspacecollective.com/, you can download lots of nice stuff there ;p Quote
