Guest mE
Uh I was hoping to find more tracks like this: Deviant Electronics - Free Radical. I'm looking for psy breaks that are not so Drum and Bassy. I don't like th DnB beat... too repetitive and not innovative when it really should be... Breaks on the other hand are very creative with the drum rytham... Anyway anyone know of other good psy breaks artists? that track is really nice at +16 percent ~146 BPM

Guest rx7style
I'm afraid to say that Deviant Electronics does it the best. Listen to "Loud And Clear" [wicked psy breaks] "Enema Suite" [amazing dnb with some psychedelic breaks]. Also listen to Digitalis... might interest you as well. Guest Mescalinium
check out some Acid Rockers stuff, esp. messages from jupiter. some of it sounds a little dated, but these guys were some of the first adventurers into the "psy breaks" realm. you can also check out the comp corrosive breaks on atomic records. more downbeat oriented, but it definately has some great songs. Guest The Evil Dr. Krelm
I agree w/ rx7style. Deviant is the best psy-breaks I've heard. Do you have his full album (Blunt Instruments)? Much of it is in the style of "Free Radical" and it is one of the best CDs I own. I would *love* to have that guy play in Austin. Other stuff in that style you might want to check out is: Corrosive Breaks 2 (Atomic/Subatomic records) - good all around disc with a couple real gems. Has 2 tracks by the Deviant Electronics side project, and a brilliant track by Red Bak (aka Acid Rockers). Sympathy in Chaos (Matsuri) - *Old* mixed CD by Tsuyoshi of cool downtempo psy breaks. You probably cannot find it new, but I've got it if you want a burned copy. Digitalis - The 3rd State (Matsuri) - more dance oriented than Deviant Electronics, but he is still a master of breakbeats and it is a damn good album. Same deal w/ availability as the previous...old & prolly difficult to find, but I'll give you a copy. Great Leap Forward - Cinkofa (Flying Rhino Records) - I've only heard samples, so I might be off on this one. However, from what I heard, it sounds like half of the album is really cool smooth psy-breaks stuff. This album just came out recently and should be easy to find. Unfortunately, there was a surge of badass psybreaks in '97/98, but there has been very little since. What little is coming out today (Deviant Elec., Acid Rockers, etc..) is very good, but there is so damn little of it. You don't see full albums or comps of it now so much as a track or two scattered on a full length or comp of otherwise trance. My fellow Texalien Dr. No is the local master of the break, so he could probably guide you much more than I.

Otto Matta
Didn't the new Eat Static (In the Nude) have a bunch of breaks on it?
