Guest psytek Posted June 4, 2002 Share Posted June 4, 2002 for the french trancers (and the others) i've found an article on what happened in rennes last weekend while peoples were demonstrating against the new law about free parties.. http://france.indymedia.org/front.php3?art...rticle_id=20151 (in french) this law authorize the police to seize the sound system (including music hardware and vynils) when there's a party with 250 people and amplified music, even on a private place, that has not been approved by local authorities (and it quite never happened). in addition the new law in france about security give more rights to the police to use of violence. and this is exactly what they did last weekend against people demonstating. two guys who have been defending themselves were arrested. one get 15 days of prison, the other 3 months. i'd like to know if french psytrancers feel concerned about what happening today, cause i am. i highly respect the idea of free parties (while i think most of the hardtek/hardcore scene today doesn't). think about how good it is to dance on psytrance in a forest... and i don't think the authorities will make the difference between hardcore and goa... sad Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest sukanta Posted June 4, 2002 Share Posted June 4, 2002 i totally agree with lespagnol... those kind of parties are really really "dirty"... because of the spirit (or the non spirit...), the vibes(really bad vibes and negatives energies) , all the drugs and there are so many people really fucked up in these parties , many fights..even sometimes somebody die and every body run away in order not to have any problems and let the guy dying on the floor... hardcore free parties just became the new drug supermarket where everyone go to get what he wants and to @!#$ him up the whole night... it's sad... plus i don't like what they represent , why is everyone going to free parties are dressed like if they were in the army, about to go to war... ??? what's the point? life is not about war and non respect... life is about love and happiness ... sometimes we get what we deserve... it's so often that there are many problems in free parties... but i've never heard anything wrong about a psy party(dunno why!!!!!)... i think if the whole hardcore movement hadn't done so many bullshits (let the place where they party full of trash... , death during parties , parties in places really really unsafe) , it wouldn't be there at the moment.... i think the hardcore movement (free party) @!#$ the whole techno scene up.... and give a really bad image of techno... what do you see about techno , when you watch tv ??? here in france it's just "another free party took place this week end , a young boy died because of too much drugs , everyone ran away..." it's just my opinion , i know some of you won't agree.. .......... Guest psytek Posted June 4, 2002 Share Posted June 4, 2002 sukanta what you say is the typical image of free parties given by the media since one or two years.. i don't say it is not reality but it hasn't always been like that. some years ago they would even play goa in free... and do you know where free parties came from??? i think the people who were in this movement before it became mainstream must be very dissapointed of what is happening now... because they share many values as trancers... but too much young people didn't catch the message and this is why it f#$*d up the scene... u say there's no problems withs psy parties because it's still very underground, so new trancers can hope to catch the spirit... i don't know what would have happen if trance became mainstream... i love psy much than any other music but i can only go to parties since 2 or 3 years because before i couldn't afford them. good music should be allowed only to rich people??? i don't think so and of course life is about love and happiness... just tell them Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest sukanta Posted June 4, 2002 Share Posted June 4, 2002 i know that ... before going to psy parties , i used to go to free parties... and i know that in the hardcore scene there is a small bunch of people who really appreciate the music and just the music , but there are too many people who are really fucked up and just go there to get their weekly high... i don't think that what i say is just the typical image given by the media... of course i've been to some great small free parties in a field , with great people and not too much drugs, many people smiling , open minded... but i can count it on my hand...(that's because i'm from paris and free parties around here are really different than free parties in the south of france... in the south , the spirit is still good , but don't even try to find any spirit in a free party in paris anymore....) the evolution of the hardcore movement is really going in the wrong way imho! Here in Finland we have free outdoor parties almost every weekend at summer (the season has already began, last weekend was nice..) And I'm talking about psy parties, I don't have any clue about hardcore or other outdoor / free parties.. The spirit out there in the beautiful forest is excellent and people respect the nature and clean up the place before they leave.. luckily there has been only minor problems with the police, haven't heard that any hardware were seized or anything like that.. Hope they won't change the laws here (I don't see a reason why they should, but you never know) Have a nice summer and hopefully you'll have some good free outdoor parties there as well (without the police ofcourse) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
