Guest phaeton
how come every track by one or more of these artists sounds like it's been made by the same person? do these artists all share the same studio or something? because every track i've heard where these artists are involved uses _exactly_ the same typical sounds, breakbeats and pitch envelope noises .. i'm not really complaining because sometimes the formula they seem to have locked themselves up in _does_ work nicely, but i just find it odd that their tracks seem to be almost interchangable; i seriously doubt anyone would notice it if you would mix up a few random tracks of theirs and sell it as a new alien project album .. anyone who knows how come? and if they indeed share the same studio, would there be any volunteers to break into it and delete all the presets on their synths so they can make some more innovative music again? Guest phaeton
oh and i should not forget to mention the talkbox effect, another very typical thing these artists are using all the time in their tracks
Guest Gorgonator
Well I personally think all these artists rock bigtime ! Just listen to the SPECTRUM ANALYZED comp on spectrum music its my favourite cd at the moment and could be up for cd of the year. ( Maybe a bit to early in the year to say that but its definately gonna be a tough one to beat ). If any of the artists above read this thread keep up the great work. Can't wait for the new ALIEN PROJECT and ASTRIX albums later in the year !! Bom
Guest phaeton
yes, well maybe .. i didn't find the spectrum analyzed compilation to be that spectacular, but it has some nice tracks indeed .. but don't you agree with me that it sounds more like a single artist album than a compilation? Guest Gorgonator
Yes phaeton you are definatley right on that one, the SPECTRUM ANALYZED comp does indeed sound like a single artist album but its hardly suprising as Tamir Ozana ( ATOMIC PULSE ) either produced or co-produced every track except the first one Echotek - cakes & pieces. Peace !!!
Guest akindo
Agree with both. I'm pretty sure I heard that Astrix uses Alien Project's studio. akindo
Guest danger
No, they use the same studio. I think that studio is owned by Atomic Pulse ( half of Safi Connection ), many Astrix tracks made with Atomic Pulse, though he is not on the cover But I think they are the new stars from israel, very very talented guys!!!! Listen to Plug in by MDMA, it contains an Atomic Pulse and Safi Connection which are different than their others.
