Assuming is a israeli forum, should be more full on oriented. And another thing.... they just talk about old songs. This site has the largest reviews section of psy on the net and its very easy to navigate. IN A WORD USER FRIENDLY. ISRATRANCE looks pretty but is slow to load and stuffy. Guest Mr.Hanky Posted June 5, 2002 Share Posted June 5, 2002 Cartman, what does this site's reviews have anything to do with the forum? if you compare between the PSYNEWS and the ISRATRANCE forum u notice a few major differences right away. Isratrance is much more orginised - by Regional topics(such as Trance is Switzerland,trance in this and that ETC) The Forum Has MODERATORS - which means you don't see alot of junk posts like u see in here,when someone talks crap or badmouths someone else (i mean come on,everyday u see a "dirty" and childish fight between forum members here), then the moderators lock the thread or throw it away. That forum is a lot faster unlike what said here. psynews has a typical problem, that sometimes you post something and it takes a "few" moments to load back into the main forum page. as a result of this lots of un-patient guys press "POST" again and again===>which leads to double and triple posts. and again,usually no one cares to fix that. what's also great about the isratrance forum is the option to communicate through private massages.this way u can talk privately to all the artists that visit this forum frequently(such as SON KITE,BLT,HUJABOY,TEGMA etc etc). there are many other high points that i will pass on mentioning. having said all that, PSYNEWS is the best resource on the net for trance information regarding the music itself, with a huge archive of reviews from the first days of the scene. and the forum itself is also cool,and important, just less orginised. Guest russ Posted June 5, 2002 Share Posted June 5, 2002 isratrance is excellent for its organization, so you have less mental people who just want to flame others. but the posts themselves are often boring and very short. this psynews forum is cool because sometimes people take the time to write very thoughtful posts (hidden amongst all the childish bs here). isrtrance is very polite and a bit vanilla-flavored for my tastes, but extremely informative and useful. the review section is annoying because it's not listed alphabetically, and you have to scroll through several pages. the top ten section is also very very strange: a bunch of random people listing random top 10's, and then 10 other random people writing random nonsense like "Great tops man! Really rocking! Never heard any of them because they are all unreleased, but they look wicked! Keep up the good work!" That entire section is more absurd than our mike d posts here, but without their inherent psychological interest. What would be nice would be to change that section to a recognized dj top 10 area, like they used to have on the very nice audiominds site. that was excellent for seeing what quality stuff was out there and for checking out what tracks a dj is playing these days before booking him. i think both isratrance and psynews could learn a lot from examining the other. Guest mk-11 Posted June 6, 2002 Share Posted June 6, 2002 this site is great for reviews and general psy info in general thread.... and a good laugh in the off topic.... though the one thing that excels in the isratrance forum is the "equip. & music creation" threads.... people share alot on that link and give out heaps of tips... and plenty of threads on previous hardware hook ups, probs etc for reference.... but with time i'm sure music making section will pick up a bit... though it would be good on having internal messaging through here, it will cut back alot on threads for just one person messaging to another..
