Melodic Tracks

qa2pir,

Chi-A.D. - Anno domini

California sunshine - Green sky

Two really different tracks. The first one is one of the best goa tracks ever made, in my all time top 10. It sounds dark, slow and deep, with a dark melodic atmosphere. Stunning. I'm sure you will love it.

The second one is much more happy, a kind of mix between goa and melodic trance. It can sound a bit cheesy for some people, but i find it really beautiful! Hope you like it. ;)

Bullet Proof - Bolivia (Imagi:Nations Part 1: Night CD) It's a must-get. Starts off very calm with a guitar (or something similar), then goes off towards aggressiveness, never losing the great feeling you got in the intro.

Uni - Regibell (Uni - Venus CD) Perfect track. When the second part of the violin comes in you really can't stop listening. It's like you're lifted up to a new level of pleasure.

Yeah that wouldn't suprise me at all since i got it with kazaa (thank god i dont use kazaa anymomre) but one guy actually confirmed mystica had a track called goa. I mean, he has tracks called china and so on so i considered it quite possible.

It's kinda hard to get stuff from those 2 artists. But what i heard from chi-ad was great. Unfortunately never had the chance to listen to californa sunshine or any other projects by Har-el Prussky...

Yes i have it, some tracks have really original and timeless goa melodies.

Don't give up!

I love a good melody. Most 'melodic Goa' tracks don't have a real melody... they have a stack of layered riffs, but they don't carry a tune. The very best .01% actually sounds played.

I recommend:

Prana - Indigo Rmx

Shakta - Lepton Head (NOT Deedrah's)

Eat Static - the whole Abduction album

Kox Box - Point Of No Return

Jaia - Mai Mai

Juno Reactor - 10,000 Miles

Genetic - Trancemission

Uni - Sarasvati, Adventure, more??

For those long warbling lines ^_^

Any more? ;)

10 000 miles away, yes that's a melody that can bring tears or joy to anybody!

And the abduction album by eat static is extremely good, especially forgotten rites (although not very melodic, but very trancey and tribal) and the title track with soo much warmth.

Jaia is also a good artist, mai mai may be the best dance song on their first album.

The other tracks i haven't heard, maybe some hidden goldies =D

Oh, and also i think you're right about goa. Most tracks are just pumping patterns with a few notes.
