DeathPosture
Here's what I replied @ the Isratrance thread: Well - I've reviewed some stuff on your list... To get an idea of what to get, you could check my reviews... Essential purchases are: Para Halu - The World Of Peace http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=25579 Ethereal - Anima Mundi http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=6738 VA - Invasion From Hyperspace http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=25519 VA - Psionic Circus http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=25153 VA - Retro: 10 Years Of Israeli Trance http://www.psynews.org/reviews/10yearso.htm Good, but not essential: VA - Hunters http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=316767 Killer Buds - Interfiber Skunk http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=24302 Digital Mystery Tour - DMT Express http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=362103 Ganja Beats - Paradise And Tranquility http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=26029 Promon - Funky Fumes http://www.psynews.org/reviews/funkyfu.htm VA - Blissful Moments http://www.psynews.org/reviews/CHI00052.htm VA - The Next Levels http://www.psynews.org/reviews/thenextl.htm Happy shopping Psytones! /DP
moni
Jocid - Sonic Addiction - full on, not bad, i didn't really give it a proper listen VA - Invasion From Hyperspace - in my opinnion one of the best compilations of 2005, melodic summer trance with full-on, dark, prog touches. very melodic, uplifting and high in quality. allways makes my day Psydrop - The Miracle Man - didn't like it much back then, i gotta relisten to it Sesto Sento - The Inner Light - nice minimal, though people said the first album was better. i love tracks 1 (Ray Of Medication) and 5 (Follow Me) on this one. VA - Electronic High 3 - nice compilation, it has good parts and bad parts. to me it's special cause i used to study for my graduation exams while listening to g.b.u, koxbox and logic bomb tracks on this one. so i guess i can't be objective or something this is all from my side and ffs psyluff, go check samples or something before spending all that money! Guest
Cinkofa is NICE. Long, hypnotic, kinda trance techno influenced tracks. Just bought Mind Games myself and I'm enjoying it immensely (but get ready for the darkness). Blissful Moments got old after the first 20 listens It's a classic, though... Guest Le Lotus Bleu
Posted by Psytones on Isratrance and i was asked to repost it here: Black & White - Retro Active Jocid - Sonic Addiction Para Halu - The World Of Peace Killer Buds - Interfiber Skunk Para Halu - The World Of Peace Sesto Sento - Remixer (promo - no jewel case) VA - Check In VA - High Way VA - Hunters VA - Invasion From Hyperspace VA - Mind Games VA - Point Of View VA - Project Sun Dew VA - Psionic Circus VA - Time Out VA - Tribal Maker VA - Utopia 2: The Promised Land VA - Vox Draconis I quite enjoy it, interesting mix of different level of artist's notoriety, typical 'groovy full on' stuffs in the good old Com.pact style, check mainly the Paradigma, Mahamudra,Nasa,Dooper Doopler & Blackout tunes. :::Chill -- ::: Digital Mystery Tour - DMT Express Galaxy - Science of Ecstasy Ganja Beats - Paradise And Tranquility Human Blue - Diskovery Channel VA - Earth Octave Lounge 2 VA - Earth Octave Lounge 2 VA - Namaskar [/b]OLDIES:::[/b] Abracadabra - Abracadabra Airgate - The Third Step it's a compilation from compact which didn't get much echoes surpringsly despite presence of good tunes from Silence Hill, Lish, Ferby Boyz,STar X & Native Radio remixed by Bog. Aphex Twin - Drukqs Beat Hackers - System Error With time & thought, quite a waste of time, same lead all over very shrill & incisive, not enough variation, leave this one... CON Sequencer - Impulses Dark Nebula -The 8th Sphere Dynamic - Dynamix I liked it when was released but with time, results less attractive nevertheless still remains much way better than The Beat Hackers one. Element - Full Moon I'm fond of this band, so i can't be very objective. However, it's morning , deep & peacefull. Big warning about the new Element member Dirk Draeger, as he's singer & plays guitar on tracks, so if you're singer or guitar allergic, it can dissapoint you. Ethereal - Anima Mundi Feuerhake - Excess All Areas Same thing as for Element, i'm a big fan of the old tunes of Feuerhake with his groovy & morning touch, attention for some fans of the current proggy style, i know it sounds like very cheesy, so it's really a very personnal matter of taste. 5 Frequency Surfer - Respect Fünf D - No Promises It's a very special album from Mickael Kolbecker, it's eitheir hypnotycal tech-trance in a very typical german way or a bit more tech-trance dubby; you really need to be fond of Kolbecker to be able to enjoy it, it's not a sound easy for masses. Gataka - Drop The Mask Genetic Spin - Lowrider Great Leap Forward - Cinkofa Hujaboy - Sonic Tonic Igneous Sauria - Encepfalophagus Sealed Infected Mushroom - Cities Of The Future CDS Init String - Iterations Jacques Gelee - Royal Liquid Green Dogs - Colours Magnetrixx - Phase Shift Mekkanika - Basic Tribal Pattern Nomad - Hyperactive For me the hit here is Spaceship Trippers, the rest is a step below, but this first album is better than the second. Onyx - Direct Out it's a compilation from Bionics not an album. I appreciate some tunes , globally it's not extraordinary or brainblasting sounding. Try PTX-POS 51, Chain Reaction-DMT Server & Experience X-Experience X those are the best for me . Panick - Pocket Rocket It's a nice album not too much talkabout strangely. It's quite groovy contrarily to what i was thinking first. At the epoque, Panick before releasing his debut album was working a lot with Psysex & that's why i was thinking he'll produce something close to them; but not at all. Check Mutant Academy to get a good preview of the full album. Perplex - Off Beat Promon - Funky Fumes Psycraft - Gravitech Psydrop - The Miracle Man Sesto Sento - The Inner Light I like it, it's the most groovy full on Sesto Sento album sounding, i mean here much less full on than the inner light. Try Spank To Thor or Freakshow to get a quick idea of it. Shiva Chandra - Subsonic Spectrum - XXX Star X - Prepare To Fly I like it, it's morning & full on but there's a little emotionnal dimension too that i didn't find frequently in other morning full on released albums. The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences It's seminal for me, if you like Shpongle & don't this one you will get a big slap on your face. Triptych - Lost Paradise Ultravoice - Magic Sound Factory Ultravoice already put the fundation of his style here but it was lacking density, sounding too much empty all along for me. I only retain the excellent work done here on his remix of Alien Project-Desert Incident. VA - 1st Element: Wasabi VA - Adrenalin Take One VA - Alfa VA - Amazon VA - Area 51: Second Contact (JumJam) VA - B Trance (Hommega) VA - Barbarella Lounge Sessions VA - Blissful Moments VA - Bondi Bitch VA - Conspirators of Pleasure VA - Cosmopolite I like it, very deep & morning & muffled, Herbal Essences did a very good track here, there's also the first Dooper Doopler tune, their best one till now VA - Digital Tribe VA - Echoes with time i don't retain lots of things on it, there's the sonicsurfers & silicon sound which are nice but the rest... VA - Electronic High 3 with time again , i only retain Koxbox-Woleectrix on it, the rest is pure fill in VA - Empty Hand Interesting things here, the 2 first misted Muppets (especially Human Beings), mention too for Side Effect-Kata (sounding strangely like Astrix but was released before Eye to eye if i remember well) & the excellent long morning & chilly Maze- The Final ki-ay (btw anyone know what happened to this artist? never anything new from him since ) VA - Ethno Dance VA - Final Destination VA - Fundamental VA - Future Link VA - Global Psychedelic Trance 8 VA - High Octane VA - High Paradise VA - Internationalism Vol 2 VA - Irresistible Meltdown I'm not a big specialist & i only dig Fabio, Shaman & Slugger tunes here. VA - Israeliens 3 Conflict nicely crappy, the only interest comes from the amazing & one-shot from Private Tatste (Astrix+Domestic+Anti Gravity+Lior Miller) called First. VA - Lighten for me , the best release from the label but i said before i'm not expert in prog which means my taste won't match with an hardcore proggy lover, so warning. VA - Mechanism VA - Oxygen Sealed VA - Perfect Evolution VA - Psionic Realms VA - Raveolution VA - Retro: 10 Years Of Israeli Trance Lots of interesting tunes mixed on 2 cds & a quite interesting booklet with informative texts. VA - Shoot It Out VA - Sola Sonorum SPirit Zone wasn't well known for releasing awesome compilation quality but i think this one belongs in the exception part compared to the global psychedelic trance series at least. check Electric Universe vs Space Tribe or S-Range , the Kuro one more minimal does it for me also like Bamboo Forest & Biotonic. VA - Solstice pure crappy full on VA - Sunset Boulevard 2 VA - The Best of Psychedelic Krembo VA - The Next Levels VA - The Singles (Spirit Zone) VA - Unbreakable VA - Vibration 4 (Medium) VA - Virtual Memory (Alchemy) VA - Zoo 2 (Shaffel) VA - Zoom (Happy People) Xerox - Frequency Drive (BNE) pure crappy full on, too cheesy X-Wave - Miko: X-Wave II (Balloonia) Yahel - Hallucinate (HomMega) Yahel - Private Collection (Hom Mega) Zorba - Zorba (Shaffel) ... My question is indeed trance related, so it should be in the right section, i hope Question: Which one of these are pure crap, and I should forget about buying, and which ones should I deffently buy, and which ones is worth buying, but aint that good.. Guest Le Lotus Bleu
I forgot Global Psychedelic trance 8: it's a double cds composed of one dance cd (the full onish part of the comp indeed) & the second is called ambient. It's quite important due to the 'normal composition ' of the serie before with 2 'dance' cds to re-employ this word & normally the ambient stuffs were released on another serie called 'Global psychedelic chill out'. All or major part of the tracklisting is composed of tracks apperaring on Spirit Zone (or Plusquam coz at first it was a SZ sublabel) artit's album (GMS,Electric Universe,Space Tribe,Noosphere,Grey Area,Ooze,Jens Buchert). I think it's better to buy those artists albums (electric Universe-unify, Gms -no rules, Noosphere -Aqua on SZ & Jens Buchert- Fruit Machine + Grey Area on Plusquam) than this compilation as the few new & exlusive tracks aren't exceptionnal (the Talamasca's one is particularly awful, Bamboo Firest nice but nothing special) except in the ambient side Kick Bong & Alien Mutation (a dubby one) 's tunes & the remix of Kickin Up some dust in the dance one. Ov3rdos3
Zorba was OK. different at least, a bit cheesy, but at least it was kinda original and a break from the norm. i listened to a few tracks off it yesterday actually. I cant beleive i can even see Zoo2 in that list. he must be taking the piss.
