Goa Travellers Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I'm thinking about setting up a page with tutorials broken down into categories, subcategories and subsubcategories, on goa trance creation, with an embedded player and file download (presets, samples). Any suggestion of free-of-charge, ad-free and reliable web hosting provider? Quote
GagaISM Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Only track I have uploaded is this one I recently made with a friend. Somber Acid... Quote
Goa Travellers Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 GagaISM: Minimal trance that is nice to listen to. Only thing that makes me feel down is the photo of that poor lady! Quote
GagaISM Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Thanks. the track was recorded with no computer, directly to tape (hence the raw sound...). It needs some editing and mastering. Could be a good intro/outro for a live set maybe. Ps. The lady is actually a doll for doctors to practice on Quote
Veracohr Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 free-of-charge, ad-free and reliable web hosting provider? You're kidding right? You can't have all three. Quote
Goa Travellers Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Actually, yes, I already have it (free as in beer, ad-free and reliable), but it's only raw web space (no convenient interface to manage, upload, etc...), which is fine, but I was just wondering if there's something even better Quote
Veracohr Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 If you're looking for more than just a straight web host, you're even less likely to find all three. Someone somewhere has to pay for the operation of what you want, and unless they're rich and very very nice, it's unlikely they'll offer it completely free. Is Soundcloud not to your liking? Quote
Goa Travellers Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I like Soundcloud, but it seems they don't have the blog feature (to post tutorials, in my case). Otherwise, what I could do is use my current free hosting and embed soundcloud players Quote
Veracohr Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Wordpress? Is that free? You could embed players on that I'm sure. Quote
Goa Travellers Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Hum, yes, it's free. Good idea, I'll check it out Quote
Shpongled247 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 That would be quite nice indeed... One day perhaps i will reach a point where im not binning my tracks the next day after previously thinking they were half ok while working on them.... UGHHH! So much to learn, so little time. Quote
Slina Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 http://www.cybernetika.de I will update it soon so that you can find my newest tunes on the site. Hahaha, I can't believe that you are here... I'm your very big fan Quote
acid-brain Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Beautiful new psybient/acid track for everyone: https://soundcloud.com/acidbrain/hyperreality-hyperreal-odyssey Quote
Goa Travellers Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Beautiful new psybient/acid track for everyone: https://soundcloud.com/acidbrain/hyperreality-hyperreal-odyssey Thanks. I checked out the Soundcloud page, and I loved the goa trance tunes. I'd love to hear about the techniques used to get such a good result (looks like the tunes you find on CDs, very well mixed and composed). Technique is key here. Quote

Hi Goa Travellers, glad that you liked it. I started being careful with my use of choruses, delays and equalizers, and adding oscillators to most of my synthesizers so that they would move around the aural sphere. I spend a lot of time in Ableton's session view trying to make sure that all the sounds work well together. Quote
Goa Travellers Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Thank you for the feedback. I'll stay tuned and check your page regularly. Please take part also in the "Music making" section of this forum Quote
Goa Travellers Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 @Satanic Electro: I'm a big fan of your music and videos. Lots of energy in your sounds and rhythms! Quote
Goa Travellers Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I'm not kidding I love the Strike Part 2 video and music. You look like an old-school kinda guy. Old is gold Please share your techniques when you have a chance Quote
Gaffel Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Well, Strike Part 2 I made under hard core pressures and sufferings of trying making something new. Cybernetika tested this track in his room checking it's danceable :D About techniques I can say only this - Don't talk to people who know everythig better and factory presets use only for learning - sometimes. Baernelin Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Been playing with ableton for about a year now. I think it's coming along somewhat. Sadly I don't have much time for it at the moment due to my studies, so i'm not seeing much progress right now. Anyway, have a listen! https://soundcloud.com/baernelin Quote
