I would call it Trance I dont know anything similiar to that, but i dont think its dark at all Similiar here as in "structure" About the melancholic feel, its all up to you. If you were melancholic or that melody is based on a meloncholic feeling, then it is. Expressing that to others is the hard part. What we call "emotion" in music is not only based on the passion of the creator. Its also based on the capacity he can transmit his message to thers listerners. Thats is true art and highly dificult to manage, its also totaly relative to individuals. Some can say it instantly got the melancholic feeling your music.
