Besides that I absolutely agree with Insejn, I personally think that full-on is way more psychedelic than minimal. Once again it's a question of personal taste and preferences. The last thing I would do is tripping and listen to minimal psy, that would freak me out a lot I think. But full-on would be great. For other people it's exactly the opposite but that's fine for me. There are a lot of releases in all the genres to make everybody happy. I also don't like all full-on but for my understanding some (well, the ones that I think they are good ) full-on releases are way closer to old-school goa than a lot of progressive stuff is. But that's just my taste and my understanding. I mean there are old-school artists that have moved into progressive stuff but also some that make full-on. To each his own... Quote

Maybe because just like taste, its also subjective.. for some people a sound may bring you to a certain state of consciousness, and to someone else it may just annoy you... If I was to define psychedelic for me as: "music that works good and reminds me of psychedelic states of consciousness" or "music that seems to bring me into a certain state of consciousness.. " .. then I would say that, for me , full on is not psychedelic, because I feel really annoyed by full on.. I never heard any full on I ever liked... its possible that there could be one, but I find it hard because the speed already ´turns me off ´, and I really dislike the whole track structure, sounds and rolling basslines that full on uses.. I find much more psychedelic music in chill out, prog house and a bit of prog trance too (though not the usual ´psy prog´ like xibalba and co, which is also annoying to me.. psychedelic prog to me is more like antix, ticon...) If I listen to ambient released I perfectly the same melodies... there are many ambient rmx of fullon tracks.... do you like those ???? does being psychedelic has anything to do with the speed of the music ??? thinking example the melodies that entheogenic uses are the same melodies that lamat uses... only it's faster, more uplifting... you say entheogenic is psychedelic... but why is lamat that is fullon not psychedelic... it's the same sound... off course entheogenic is a 'concept' they use a lot of little sound crawling everywhere so if that's why you find it psychedelic my statement is bullshit offcourse....
