Pitch Hikers is the new side project of South African PsyTrance producers Shift and Slug.

 

NeXuS MeDiA is proud to present their debut album together 'Twilight Zone'. Its difficult to describe the sound they present here. Somewhat psychedelic, but it wont make u mad. Its powerfully driving, but not for too long. Its fat as hell, but has delicate touches too. Its got awesome groove, but doesn't get cheesy.

 

Has sickeningly large and boisterous leads, but also huge soundscapes and slow deep emotions. Its got melody, but cranking techno too, and an attitude. Its slightly aggressive, but entertaining and playful as well. Its perfect for the transition from night to day.

 

Its the Twilight Zone.

Pretty well commented on i must say, i totally agree.

 

All the tracks have the Shift signature with these mad scratching sounds.

Half of the tracks have little silly melodies like Shift always does.

 

Imo the best driving track is the first one, very surprising, and thrilling, but they're all equal in terms of music.

Yeah quite a good album, although i think Twisted System and Shift alone do it better.

I also like this release...But I agree what Mars said. TS and Shift do it better.

 

I find the track 'Peaches' to be a very good one.

Well, this was alot better than Source comp. although not as good as Shift's Excession.

I'd give it a 7.5
