Guest Unleashed
Try to live in a country where the only psy trance Cd's available are:Distance to goa,goa head,Sun project, Astral projection and whatever. There are 2 specialized trance shops here but even they have very litle to choose from. I don't know about you but I really don't care if Dj's play burned Cds...It's not the Dj's who will make the artists richer,Its obviously us.Dj's just make an artist famous just like the radio. peace. Guest mogwai
OK for a start not all DJ's make any money from DJing and some just do it for fun and as a favour for a group of friends or other trancers. Secondly if you see someone playing with burnt disks don't always make the assumption that they are Mp3's. ALot of people would prefer to leave thier real CD's at home and use copies. Especially when travelling OS or long distances. Thirdly alot of countries do not get recent imports of CD's (like here in Australia). If there is a killer track track out right now for instance and i can't buy it why the hell wouldn't i download it and burn it on a disk and crank it ? Everyone likes new music and DJing with new tunes is always fun. If people can't get access to new music officially they will do whatever they can to do so. Apart from that there is no reason why people should not being buying CDs also. I'm broke but i still buy a CD every now and again.
Guest PumpkinHeadQuarters
for fuck sake ppl.........get over it, you look in ANY major dj/ trance composers cd case, and i guarentee you that they will have copied music...... it is they way of the millenium, what do you think djs do whern they get together to trade, what they swap spit and have bum sex....i dont think soo, they copy music from each other.... The djs who you pay to see play at parties is most likely playing copied or mp3 traded music.... record labvels have found artists through mp3 downloads, artists who have only ever had online album releases, and are now signing fucking contracts, i mean is this really as bad as you all say..... the small percentage of ppl downloading music compared to the percentage buying music is a big difference....i really dont think the few hundred ppl downloading from this underground trance scene is going to have any major impact on record labels..... everyone knows that mp3s are compressed files and cdr quality is where its at for any dj playing professionally..... so get over it, you wouldnt even know the difference when your fav dj plays cdr or mp3!!!
