Big names?What big names?Unless you mean Hallucinogen,12 letters,thats a big name.The line-up is normal for a "big" festival.

well there are many big names not only simon

but still it is expensive

who do they want to come

clubber kids or freaks

who the hell can have 1 week off in the middle of the year and have that much money :) hehe

price effects the crowd, the crowd effects the vibe, the vibe is the whole party

still as it is officially declared i dont expect they would lower the prices

one thing is, it is for a week, so nearly like 2 festivals.

In a country as cheap as Turkey still i believe they could ve done better then that, but i am positive about this festival

@agia_igoumeni

it is not done by turkish peopel so it doesnt matter if you re TOO european for us ;) at the end I have lived in both countries and have not seen much difference

i agree 100% about your thoughts about the price, the vibe & the ppl..its not excuse that it is one week...because they dont have the big names they promise...

big name is amorphous androgynous, ozric tentacles, juno reactor LIVE...

got my point?

about the organizers i know that they r turks...but as far our countries i know that we r too turkish style for the european union and we r too european for the turks...

what can u say...?

anyway

i checked more forums

everybody is disappointed with the ticket prices.

later i'm gonna go on the soulclipse forum and see what people say there.

with these prices, they might not sell enough to pay for that line-up ...

That's not cheap for sure, but Rhythms of Peace was also 100€ at the door & they didn't even have speakers the first 2 days of the fetival & only half of the line up actually played.

So, if paying a little more meanis this will be professionally organised, I don't mind al thàt much. Since we already booked our airplane, we'r just gonna buy the first tickets we can here in Belgium.

No use in waiting until it's 180€, if you know you're going to go there anyway...

My reasons for going besides the Eclipse:

Absolum - 3D Vision

Andromeda - Spiral Trax

Atmos - Spiral Trax

Atomic Pulse - BNE

Echotek - Time Stretch

Hallucinogen - Twisted

Lish - Com.Pact

Midi Miliz/Spirallianz - G+ / Boshke Beats

Eduardo - Neurobiotic

Kristian - Phantasm / Antiworld

Pena - Flow

Sally Doolally - Plastik Park

Shane Goby - Alchemy

Stella Nutella - Sweden

I seriously doubt that Boom Festival'06 will do better than this!

well once again the organizers are not turkish

the organizers are Indigokids

they have turkish support as well as many other I guess

And agia_igoumeni you re totally right about the greek-european-turk thing :)

I wish there was Juno too but who knows still they re adding names :)

ok, so the organisers are not turkish

do you know where they are from brujo?

not that it really matters ... i'm just curious

anyway, i still depend on my greek and serbian and maybe israeli friends on this festival. so i might find myself in the situation to pay at the gate.

so Tox, if i go there and have to pay say .. maybe 100 euro for 3 days, then i'll be a little annoyed.

plus i don't expect prices for food and beverages inside the festival to be at turkish level ..

the festival takes place in eastern europe. if they want many eastern europeans to come .. they should consider that an eastern european may earn between 100 - 300 euro/month. you can't both live and do an expensive festival.

maybe they DON'T want eastern europeans to show up at the festival actually :D

I totally agree with you Moni!

But the artists won't charge a "Turkish booking fee" either, but just the same as always. The food-prices should be OK I guess? Even if they sell it at 2x or 3x the normal price (again like at R.O.P. in Morocco) it will only half of what you'd pay in Western Europe.

But to be totally fair they should indeed take the less fortunate countries into account. Maybe you can send an e-mail to the organisation, clarifying your opinion?

that email has been sent by a fellow turkish friend

and they answered, someone named Hillary

they said they only got compliments from turkey about the ticket prices

and couldnt understand it as we dont even pay travelling expenses

ok they are making the festival so they are following their path

but

I do not believe higher ticket prices means a quality crowd (this looks like the idea behind it)

She also wrote this is nearly the half of the line up so they spend quite a lot on booking-

She also remarks you shoud compare this festival to other eclipse events not only psy festivals and she says the price is competetive

well i have only positive feelings about this party so hard for me to think somehtings wrong but prices just caused me some pain, not because I cant pain, but because i know some friends, it looks like as I am the one who is working i ll need to get a few tickets for my mates :)

ps. maybe I am wrong, but thinking of 2003 morocco where 2 parties took place

one of them 100 euro and the second one free

the second was way ahead of the first one (the free one)

I wish they were both good but then again its my point of view

the first one had big artists whereas the second one was by goafreaks from around the world, again thats two different things a psy festival and a goaparty... this has gotto be a nother topic I ll cut it here

386466

umm .. once they set the prices, i doubt they will change anything.

so that's it.

i just know i won't be rushing into buying my ticket.

plus i'm waiting for package prices, as i would only be able to attend 3 days of festival anyway.

they said they only got compliments from turkey about the ticket prices

386477

surely nobody would speak bad about their own festival, but allow me to not belive this really..

I do not believe higher ticket prices means a quality crowd (this looks like the idea behind it)

386477

quality crowd? what the f*ck is that supposed to mean???

She also wrote this is nearly the half of the line up so they spend quite a lot on booking

386477

90% of that line-up will also be available during summer, in many festivals.

it's not the end of the world ..

She also remarks you shoud compare this festival to other eclipse events not only psy festivals and she says the price is competetive

386477

the eclipse will last .. how much .. one hour?

surely not one week.

this is a festival with an eclipse event inside. not the other way around.

in the end, i hope they will reach their objectives, whichever they are.

i'll go, if i can afford it.

even if with my financial situation maybe i don't qualify for "quality crowd" <_<

180 euros on the door???? WTF????? *falls off chair*

They serious??? That's the most expensive festival I have ever heard of.....

And I agree with the sentiments about cost of tickets and 'quality crowd'. That's bollocks. 'Quality crowd' what's that all about? If you aren't 'trance enough' you can't come??

Meh. I'm going, coz I've booked my flights, and I meeting some old friends there who I have not seen for years. And hopefully it will be amazing! But like, the ticket price is bonkers! I'm gonna have to eat lentils from now until then!

Clinton?

Anyway,im probably not coming so you can forget about me.Its not that i cant get that money,i dont want to spend them for a festival. We spent 60€ for Samothraki this summer and we still regret it.I would pay 180€ for the best festival ever with 20000 people,100 live acts and 4 stages :)

but they didnt change it in a way like moving the dates

they added one more day to the end

so its not like you have a day off and miss another one

you miss the extra day

but still would hurt

I hope not many people were on tight schedule

I am ashamed to say but I would actually be happy even if they added another day, the longer the better :)

So they added a day instead of lowering the price?

387832

the price wont get any lower thats for sure :(

you miss the extra day

but still would hurt

I hope not many people were on tight schedule

thats what happened at ozora 2005, i had already booked my flight and they added 1 more day.....

.....Son Kite were playing that day and i missed them (they were 1 of the reasons i wanted to go to the festival in the fist place.....)

and yes im on a VERY tight schedule <_<

anyway i guess im happy too that the festival is getting bigger.......

After checking their forum I read that there WILL be cheaper tickets for ppl from "less fortunate countries"? Sounds good to me, no?

387906

Yes, but it would be better if they had cheaper tickets for "less fortunate" people :P:P

This is the mail I got back, after mailing them about the ticketprice.

Pretty sincere I guess.

I'm still going!

Hello there,

Thanx for your mail & the interest in the festival.

I'll try to explain to ya the reason of this price..

1st of all this is not your common festival this happens once in

about every 18months..as ya know..its alot of aspects to take care of such as

providing the safety glass alot of political issues in Turkey and a huge line up ..

What is on the website is not even half... It will all be announced very shortly..

Also if you look at the prices of the other eclipse festivals we are not more

expensive then the them...As for Samotraki festival i was there and i payed 160 euros

and that was 3 years ago.. ;) and that was just a festival..no eclipse happening

there..but alot of cops..

..and if ya think its to expensive ya can buy the tickets now..hope this helps..

thanx again..Boom!!

luv & smiles..Hilla

IndigoKids

--

See ya on the dance floor.. ;)

ONE LOVE...

Espcially this part "What is on the website is not even half... It will all be announced very shortly.." makes me smile.
