moni
There are few days left. Please use these 3-4 days left if you have to modify your TOP 5. Also, it would be best for us if you edited your initial post (where you can ADD your top 5 without having to delete the existing text) and not post a new TOP 5. On the 1st of February, around 10:00AM CET this thread will be closed and possibly set invisible (temporarily), so that no one will be able to edit their posts anymore. So now is the time to post your TOP 5 if you haven't done it yet, and if you did, now's your last chances to change your mind about the best releases of 2005. Thank you for your understanding. Lemmiwinks
1. V/A - Apsara 2. Ocelot - Vector Selector 3. Shpongle - Nothing is Lost 4. Para Halu - World of Peace 5. Midi Miliz - Non Standards ... although I must warn you that I haven't bought ANY new releases from the 2nd half of 2005 except for Nystagymus which I didn't like... but out of the 05 releases I have listened to, this is my pick PS No other artists are dissed that much on this forum like entheogenic. you're forgetting about Skazi, 1200 Mics, Eskimo and the 1001 other full-on clones

Bluetech and save the robot were bith quality in my humble opinion. just not top 5 standard. maybe after a couple more listens but that'll be too late. pedro
I must confess to not being the biggest fan of top 5 (or 10, or 20, or 100 etc) lists. In this case, I am unsure of the usefulness of this exercise as an indicator (even as a loose one) of the popularity (or the worthiness) of last year's music. But I suppose it is interesting to see what has struck the emphatic chord of my fellow trancesters. I do have preferences when it comes to releases (obviously!), but not to the point that I really am comfortable in ranking them. Instead here is an alphabetical list of some of the CDs that have put a smile on this old face of mine. Favs (solid babies): Avalanche of sound vol. 4 (Avalanche) Chronika Chapter 2 (Boshke Beats) Idea FX (Horns & Hoofs) Inspirazzia (VP) Limelight (Tribal Vision) Midi Milliz - Non-standards (Wakyo) Quality Relaxation (Chill Tribe) Set 5 (Iboga) Taucher - Progression vol.1 (Avalanche) Tegma - 002 Avant Garge (Candyflip) Wireless (Plusquam) Also worth a mention (flawed, but with gems): Double 2 (Dance n Dust) Inner Circle (Tribal Vision) Insane Creation - Connected (Domo) Gaudium - Nordic Nature (Spiral Trax) Ticon - Zero Six After Vibraspirit 11 (Sundance) Vibraspirit 23.11 (Sundance) There are quite a few albums from 2005 I have yet not heard but which could well make this list - such as Street Art (Tribal Vision) and Kin Oko (Horns and Hoofs). I realise that I have more than five CDs on my list. As such, please refrain from adding my choices to the poll. Thank you. Pedro
