FrozenRealm
And yes.. I already heard the album before and I really love the sound! thick fat S.A styled full on psy but not with the typical Shift madness.. more focussed on sucking you in the groove haha. Link with short mp3 samples: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/nex/nex1cd006.html Link with longer mp3 samples: http://www.nexus-media.co.za/mp3samples.html The mastering by Artifakt is also top notch again... Quality (dancefloor) product! Will be posting a review of this in the near future in the Music Section. Alloowww this information to.. SINK IN! *Discuss this release* I can recommend it
Inducted Consciousness
Sounds solid, nothing that really gets in your head and twists it around, but I would have no qualms blasting this from my speakers and just dancing and jumping around to it. I don't find it very catchy, but it still seems fine. I personally wouldn't mind having this for some nice dance tunes, but it doesn't appeal strongly enough for me to go out and buy it right away. But, that is just my taste. Longer samples would be nicer, as I could get a better perspective on it, especially a sample of "Ice Queen". FrozenRealm
Even longer samples from Saikosounds.com: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/show_ar...?artist_id=6489 And everyone has a different oppinion ofcourse, its good and natural, I would like to hear more haha does this stuff get you dancing and sinking in? NT
sorry, but as you know me.. this is too slow to dance to.. imo.. anyway, there are some nice tune's on it.. but hrm where did i put this release?.. I know you love the S.A. scene boy, but it's not really worth the hype But yeah we have different taste in psy.. hehe. RAH2D2
what i can't stand about the SA is those damn pick ups with the screetchy trumpets and their own spice of full on... it gives me headaches... but that's just me, if you like it and it seems you do then, knock yourself out

Ormion
The thing I love most of them are the basslines and the fat sounds. They use the real full on basslines. Agressive is the key word. As for the fat percussion.. finally some artists that use blasting snares and loud hi-hats instead of minimalistic boom, psi, boom, psi

I mean, Africa in Trance, Alien Safari 1 and 2, Timecode Cypher and Orbis Tertius, first Artifakt album, older Shift, early Damage (from when they were still together) - those were still fresh, exciting tunes.. but they haven't changed the formula since then, putting out albums and comps like every other month, and obviously not spending so much effort on making the music psychedelic as they used to in the beginning. so I understand if you are listening ot it for the first time and it sounds fun.. I'll pass, though.

Cipher is definately the worst comp from Timecode. It's good but nothing to do with the later stuff. They haven't changed the formula since then? What Shift's new album has anything to do with his first tracks? What the power more melodic and colorful Psy they produce today has anything to do with the scratchy, techno, almost boring stuff of 2002-2003. I see a huuuuuge difference and the most important they still powerful (actually even more) and not cheesy at all! Don't want to start a war though
