qa2pir Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Both are 2 kind of drum'n'bassy pieces. The latter is much faster, but they seem to use the same drum loop.... DRUM LOOP!? What the fuck is this... Here i've been, thinking that Science of the Gods is a total masterpiece and then they're using loops? GAH!!!!! Can anyone please confirm? EDIT: and now that i think of it, they use the same bassline too.... Maybe Eat Static made it, and then Equinox sampled some parts of the track and made a new track of it? If that's the case, Eat Static are still da masters Quote
Guest Astro Cortex Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 FLA/Synaesthesia/Delerium/Equinox/.... sample A LOT from other artists, and I know at least two other examples where they use the drum pattern from a track by a different artist. But with so much great output I think it can be forgiven. They're da masters too . Quote
qa2pir Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 I can admit that the track has pretty good synthwork, but why did they sample the drums when they could have made their own? That's KLF crap. Quote
Syra Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Listen to Eat Static's "Implant" (94) and FLA's "Hard Wired" (95)... you'll find some shocking similarities! Quote
qa2pir Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 Front Line Assembly? I don't have that album, but i can imagine Anyway, Rhys & Fulber make great melodies and emotions so they are still good, albeit not masters. Quote
Amygdala Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I think the inputs on Eat Static's samplers are red-hot too... I've recognized quite a bit here and there... Latest, the flute-line from Holy War is in a Shakta track too. -A Quote
