Ormion
Ok, maybe this sound a bit silly but I always wondered. Can use two differents sound-patches from a VST instrument in the same MIDI track? I know there is always the program change parameter but it's a bit annoying. Example: let's say I wanna use 20 different sounds in track using only VST instruments. I need to have one MIDI track for each sound?
Stalker
I really doubt you can do that I dont know about Cubase (wich is the one you use right?), but i am sure you cant do that on Logic and Sonar for ex. There is also the problem for volume range and EQ, diferent sounds needs diferents settings Do you want to do this for percussion layers? Reverbs and delays for ex use a lot of RAM, so its better to have then on a Bus track, then to open a new one for every effect you wanna have reverb or delay

I only use 256 RAM and when I add more that two audio tracks it crashed down, dunno why actually Anyway thanks for the Send info, didn't know that
qa2pir
I use 256 too... It seems like it just overloads after a while, no matter if I use midi or audio. But now my 1024 meg computer is fixed so hopefully i can start making tunes there. However, audio should take less RAM, use it, even though it takes lots of time.
