ukiro Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Tip Records, UK (pre-release promo) Tip Records, UK (first edition) Tip Records, UK (second edition) Tip Records, UK (vinyl) Equinox, Japan Cyber Productions, France Nova Tekk, germany It's also part of this 2CD set: The Colours Of Shiva - Part 3 - Tua Records / Nova Tekk, Germany This has to be some kind of record. Could there be even more versions? I expect this is because of the demise of Flying Records Distribution; TIP needed money since they lost a lot with flying, and they had a strong name, so they licensed this one to as many labels as they possibly could. And apparantly a lot of them swallowed the bait... Because honestly, while a nice set of tunes, this is not the most remarkable release TIP made. For a while I was thinking it'd be kind of fun in a dorky way to have them all, but unless someone throws the last 3 at me, I won't bother =) Quote

It will be hard to match. TIP Yellow has TIP, Nippon Crown, Colours of Shiva 1?, some Scanda- navian one (or is it Cyber?). It is also 'reincarnated' in 80%+ preserved form in many releases that I can't think of now. Helium I think has 4 or 5. ...I wish I had Discogs memorized...I could be a millionaire. Mystical Experiences has a number of incarnations as well I believe. good topic ukiro! Quote

Basilisk Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Because honestly, while a nice set of tunes, this is not the most remarkable release TIP made. 432253[/snapback] Disagreed, this one's amongst their best... it was an early purchase for me (something like 3rd or 4th CD I owned) and I really grew into all these tunes. Only the Process doesn't do it for me. Quote

Juno Reactor - Beyond The Infinite: 6 CDs + 1 vinyl also there are so many different Pistolero releases, pretty hard to keep track of. (not that I NEED to) Quote

It has so much insane sample tweaking and it somehow sounds very mechanical and robotic but still not depressing like most of so-called cybertech or whatever... Quote
Basilisk Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Some early Process tunes have a production value I don't relish... same thing goes for X-1. Sounds like aliens farting in a tin can, you know? Quote
