yeah, I was born in 1983 as well. In 95 I got interested in trance - yes, it was the more commercial stuff (collected compils series such as Trance Nation, Trancemaster, Hypnotrance etc.) but how could I know about what I discovered in 96 (age:12): I bought the CD 'Travelling 1' - since it's on the same label that releases the Trancemaster series - and thought "yeah, this 'psychedelic trance' is much better than the stuff I listened till now". From there on my psy collection grew rapidly (OK, not that it's a particularly big one - today it counts some 130 CDs)

It didn't feel strange being so young and listening psytrance but it was an exciting hobby of mine - and still is, of course. Yes, it's cool as hell when I think about it today :)

last but not least my guess: 28 years, 9 months

I was kinda late discovering this genre because I had a lot of musical styles to keep up with. I still like tons of styles ( not including new hiphop/r&B and other chartfilling material).

Anyway, I had my first fling with psy in 97 when I heard it on a compilation with Etnica, Glass walker, Astral Projection on it. Can't really get the name from my head to my tongue now... :(

The real great ones will stay for a long time with me, of course some of the ambient stuff is more complex, - Shpongle, Entheogenic etc... will stay for very long.
