Guest Setsuko
every country has great artists .. but the best ones to me are Sweden , Germany , Denmark , UK ... the worst ones to me are in Israel and Ibiza

Guest Setsuko
he he Mr. Hanky , well .. no offence at all but Israeli sounds these days are a bit strange .. ofcourse there are exceptions but i used to like the isratrance a few years ago ... now i lost interest (imo they imitate the german psytrance) and about Ibiza , well ... i just don't like Ibiza , whether it is a country or not ;-) ... it's so fake , there's no magic

Guest hoffy
i don't think any country has better acts than the other, but i'm pretty happy to be living in melbourne- i get to regularly groove to mr. p and fractal glider, they're the melbourne live acts that play around most regularly. There are a load of other australian producers that don't play that much but are really really fucking wicked- psyko disko, shaolin wooden men, antidiluvian rocking horse... ok ok that's me being patriotic =). It's kind of hard not to have an affinity to the acts you grow up listening to =)))
Guest Mike D
Hoffy, you forgot Space Tribe??? I think Mr Peculiar and Fractal are more modern (?) than Space Tribe, but Space Tribe manages to keep the old fluro neuro sponge sound running in the world of modern psytrance, a true champion of psytrance, and a stayer not chaning his style despite what many reviews say about him. Guest Scrumb
People. the knew Israeli Sound is Great - no more cheesy melodies! just good techy & full on stuff. For example: Pixel Lish PPS Project Sesto Sento Nasser Echotek DJ Dede & Micha BLT Platform Visual Paradox Cosma Triac and more... i also love the Danish scene, swedish scene, and german scene... Guest Goagabba
France had some of the best tunes come out in the last year. So France for me, with a tripple AAA+++, followed by Germany and then UK.
Guest Setsuko
Agree with Scumb on Visual Paradox .. they have a clean funky sound , an upcoming talent imo (didn't know they came from israel)... but the rest you mentioned , well ... Cosma and PPS maybe but they sound a bit lame sometimes ...

Guest Alien
Okay as a outsider from Africa. I would say that the stuff comming out from France does just edge out the others. Label wise I'd say. France UK Isreal Germany Scandonavia Australia

Guest Jaimz
Personally, I don't think there is a best psytrance country. From a production point of view, some countries have a lot of artists [sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Isreal, England..] but that's not to say that those artists are better than artists from other countries. All countries have good and bad artists. There are countries with developing scenes who have great new artists - Biodegradable from the USA, Nuclear Ramjet from Canada, Mister Peculiar from Australia... However, there's the other side of the coin, and that's the actual parties. Countries like England and Sweden have real problems with the authorities and thus don't have as many large scale parties as, say, Germany and Isreal. But the large parties in Germany and Isreal attract a large element of 'undesirables' - sorry if that sounds elite but I'm sure any purists in these countries will agree with me. Whereas countries like Australia and Brazil, with a fairly low production output [but growing rapidly, don't get me wrong], have a world-wide reputation for quality parties. So, what I'm trying to say is each country has its pros and cons, and none can be judged above the others. With the exception, of course, of Luxembourg, which is the psytrance capital of the world. Guest Setsuko
Luxembourg ??? realy .. he he well , imo something has to do with living in a country when it comes to musicproduction... I always thought about the link with music inspiration a and nature landscapes of the country .. for example .. the darker/industrial German Sounds (with their Schwarzwald en their huge industry ) ... the more cheezy Israeli with the beaches and sunny weather ... Järsimähäiriö
I'm sold for PPS-Project, just bought their 4 track single and the new Hadshot comp "Red Square -The Russian Invasion" the other day, and I find their sound truly incredible. So are these guys (Wallerstein&Nagorsky) Russian, or Israelian with Russian roots? I think their tracks match perfectly with Wizzy Noise's latest efforts when you want to go from Wizzy's cold atmospheres to darker feelings. Guest Scrumb
Järsimähäiriö> PPS Project are indeed Israeli's... About Parties: Israel is definately number one when it comes to parties! We may not have big Festivals like Voov, Boom, Solpise, Burning Man... but we have 4-5 nature parties every weekend! Just in the last 3 months i've been to parties here with BLT, Cosma, Synchro, Visual Paradox, Sesto Sento, PPS Project, Psycho Micro, Wizzy Noise, Jeppephoney orphants (pool party!), Reefer Decree, El-Audio, Chakra, Liquid Metal, Slinky Wizard, Lish, DJ Dede and more... we have great party organizers like Antisahi, Good Karma, Moksha... for example, in a few weeks, Moksha party will host Antix and maybe even Examino... so, you see what a great party scene we have here! Järsimähäiriö
Now that this discussion turns into a party-discussion... I read at the "parties"-section that Green Nuns are going to perform a live gig (actually two live gigs) in New York. Is this true? What material is to be expected, the old classics or probably some new stuff? I'm very excited about this, not that I'll be attendind the party but just a thought of them playing live again... yummy.
