After almost 1/2 a year, Simon replied about guys from Cygnetic. Still unable to find any contact from them (obviously they're not checking their myspace and email)

just got your email forwarded from my friend about your cygnetic records question.

 

well, first of all, i'm very sorry for the answering delay but thanks very much for your interest.

unfortunately i cannot help you about your request, because i don't have any contact information about Imperial Project and the others, even if i used to be a member/owner of cygnetic records in the past.

since i have left cygnetic records in 2002, i have completely lost contact to all other members. cygnetic records is for sure a dead label for many years and also Imperial Project and the other projects doesn't seem to exist anymore.

i know you cannot find any new informations of those other guys on facebook, myspace or even the rest of the internet, so i suppose they have completely stopped making music many years ago.

 

i do got quite a lot questions and requests for the old cygnetic records stuff, expecially for imperial project, so i have added a short explanation on my alienxss website. you can find it here:

i know this won't help you either.

as you can see, i'm the only one left from the old cygnetic records label and the only project that still exists is Alienxss, even if the latest release is already years ago.

however, currently i've been working on some music (non-psy) projects and also some non-music projects which takes a lot of time, but i'm planning to release new PSY tracks by the end of this year or at the beginning of next year (hopefully).

 

Richpa, i'm very sorry for not being able to help you out with your requested contact informations.

Yeah Richpa, the guys completely disappeared and possibly have no interest at all in checking the net. Is not the first time i see this happening.

It is just weird none of them is on facebook with a normal personal profile, at least one could ask a few questions.

nothing downloadable though.. i remember there were a lot of project on cygnetic indeed.

but cosmosgenesis i think everything was free for download as far as i know or it was up to 2004 when they closed down.. i am sure they can give u authorization and if u can get some of the artists to speak here would be nice :)

Bump!

 

Geez, it's almost impossible mission to get in touch with this guys. I contacted them through myspace and email, even tried to contact people on facebook with same names from Switzerland, but with no results (yet). However, still believe that they're not so often on the internet and maybe not checking their email, but if anything comes out I'm gonna be more than happy to report are they still into music or does they have project files of their works.

Thanks a lot. I've been listening to Goa Syndrome for a year now and still, I can get no satisfaction. Would love to check out the other albums by Cygnetic Records. This music must not be forgotten.

I've uploaded that to Youtube. Also, I'm coding an app that will enable you to upload your whole music library to Youtube. First thing I will test it on is goa psytrance :)

i see that this thread are from few years. I just want to tell, that over 10 years ago i download all (or maybe all) cygnetic tracks, in oryginally low bitrate, from http://www.mp3.com/GOASYNDROME

 

i have atypus, acid squid, flatline and others artists, even not all tracks are at discogs. I can make a list of my tracks, anyone is interested?

Your energy spent and kindness is MUCH appreciated, Imba! Thank you! Beware or psyhippie hugs inbound ;D

I also want to mention that a reason these releases mean so much to me is because the friend that first shared Imperial Project with me in 2004, was my first goa/psy friend in person. We knew from the DI forums and nowadays, I attend the parties thrown by said person and friends. I am part of their gathering now and its great ^_- Never knew that sh*t existed in the upstate NY haha!

 

EDIT: OMG! Funny coincidence! I am listening to Einstien - Fluoro Brain now since I just ripped the vinyl yesterday. A sample early on has a guy say "I think it's about time you hear these recordings." hahaha! I have only heard maybe 10 of the Imperial Project tracks above. So weird ;D

Back to this topic, is there any information on them anywhere? I ask since the file that Richpa sent me has Atypus' album which doesn't show up anywhere else. Were they more of a Scene type group or just didn't advertise themselves?

As i said bedfore my post, i upload info about Imperial Project from No 5/2001 of WWW Magazine, that was in CD called Techno-Shiva MP3.
