Guest Psychedelic AllabertA
Ok, I've got this pretty cool track by KoxBox where this guy says "This sound was brought to you by (blah blah)", and although I understand English well, would some informed Aussie be kind enough to explain the context of what exactly that guy is talking about? I'll reveal to you in return that the guy in Wizzy Noise - Painful Memory says "Ellen is a woman who discovers the ultimate expression of love, and the most exquisite pain" :D Boom... Guest Protex Midget
this sound is brought to you by the australasian film and video secureties office. Please help us stop it. Please help us stop it. This is a major problem in Australia. An illegal and inferior sound, for which you pay good money" this is probably Koxbox's most famous track - a definate classic. whats not to understand? the guy is just taking rubbish - it doesn't mean anything... Guest cyber
Maybe they were just trying to warn people that whole album (Great Unknown) is inferior sound to Dragon Tales or Psychopod-Headlines and yes I paid good money for it
Guest Inu
It's about pirating ;-)
Guest implant
Well ... The guy you're hearing is offical voice that apperas on every video tape in Australia....it's about piracy so guys from KoxBox just sampled it... btw I have that EP....and this track is one of the greatest...i like the vibe somehow;))

Guest Dr-Zeuss
The sample is taken from the copyright warning, found at the start of old VHS videos that are rented, I remeber hearing it in the track for the first time and thinking "hey thats the Austrailan warning thingy" So theres your answer! )
Guest Dr-Zeuss
its a very strong Aussie accent too, like the others said, its funny when an aussie hears it in a psy track!
Guest Reflekshun
lol about a week or two ago i just realised where the hell this sample came from - its at the start of every movie on video in Australia.. although the words on the version i heard was slightly different - just one or two words... 'please help us stop it' was talking about video piracy ('this is a major problem in australia') hahah what a trip. _|reflekshun:::... Guest Adz Om
yer its always cool to hear a sample youve heard in a track then hear it in a movie or the other way round. where is the sample from that goes somthn like, "you shouldnt stare at people...darren stanley! daren stanley! freak!" its used on tracks from the latest Talamasca and Psydrop albums. Guest cpt_shiner
its from the sixth sense
Basilisk
i HATE that sample... alien project, talamasca, psydrop, safi connection, and many more probably use it and its just irritating. it makes a song unplayable. koxbox however know what they're doing... even if its strange to hear shit about turning hari krishnas into babylon (???) at least its unique, as is this major problem in australia nonsense! quite a wicked track but logic bomb does the circus sound best =)
Guest Psychedelic AllabertA
Thank you guys for explaining it to me... And about those samples from movies etc. in psy... I just got an impossible-to-find copy of "Aliens - Director's Cut" and like every 15 minutes through the movie I heard some voice from some psytrance track (actually it's vice-versa but still... )) That's really cool... Guest idoru
hehe... i make a small hobbie out of identifying samples. i watch a lot of movies..and i listen to a lot of music.....so..... most of the samples i can identify are from industrial music though...as industrial uses a lot more samples than psytrance. what is the most sampled movie of all time? bladerunner. Guest lurk
Basilisk, the sample is "This shit could turn Hare Krishna into a bad boy", its from a really cool english film called Human Traffic... try and see if you can track it down, its very funny :-)
Guest Psychedelic AllabertA
I think the most sampled movie ever is The Matrix... Absolum has even 2 tracks with "how did you do that"
Guest minä
People should use samples of their own language, The context will be much better in their home audience...
ouroboros
blade runner is sampled in over 100 songs. the matrix doesnt even come close. less than 20 for sure.
ouroboros
the second most sampled movie after bladerunner is aliens. it is well behind bladerunner with only a little over 30 songs.
