Shiva Chandra New Album?

If anyone get it, just tell me quick opinion about it.

I heard one minute samples of four tracks, but I do not know, one minutes is too short to know the quality of the tracks. (especially the minimal stuff.)

this is particularly minimal. it was hard for me to cope with it, even though i'm fond of the delta / autricular / snug as a bug. to my mind there is a difference between auricular and shiva chandra though its the same guy behind. shiva chandra's gecko album is not that groovy. really minimal (or i wasn't in the mood when i listened to it ?).

i think minimal lovers would like it a lot.

I liked albums like Lunaspice better, but Gecko is alright. Too minimal for me.

I think you will find with subsequent listens that GECKO is a fine piece of work - give it another few listens --------------------- very nice indeed!

it's very formulaic. on each track, nothing happens for five minutes, then it's really good for about one minute, then it finishes.

Hear it loud, and very stoned. One of the best minimal albums of the year.

This is his best LP so far, I love it, progressive with a strong kick but also first class psychedelics... recomended

the few tracks i heard i think ruled.

 

i haven't heard the entire album, and not really loud or on good speakers,, but where i heard it , it sounded cool enough for me. :-)
