Has anyone heard Aztechno Dream, the album? I thought this was going to be amazing but first couple of listens seem to suggest it's a bit muted - not the full twist I expected... any more thoughts?

imo it's a great album , the production and the sounds are crystal clear.

i especially love the track with the star wars'ssamples , it kicks ass!!

i like it better than midnight sun , it's more powerfull , better produced , and i think the style of this album is great , party onnnnnnnn !!!

OK "Alien Project" will SOON have 3 Albums released !!!

I think there is alot of confusion out there about Alien Projects last album "Dance or Die" which has only been released for only a few months & "Aztechno Dream" which is still NOT released yet on TIP.World.

How many artists do you know who release two albums in the space of 6 months? Weired eh?

RELEASED...

1) "Midnight Sun" - Released on Phonokol (2001)

[Very Good first ablum (created with ASTRIX)] personal rating : 7/10.

2) "Dance Or Die" - Released on Phonokol (2002)

[unimpressive to say the least] personal rating : 4/10.

UNREALEASED...

3) "Aztechno Dream" - Unreleased on TIP.World (Aug/Sept 2002)

[Full Power Psy Trance for the faithfull massive!!!] personal rating : 8/10.

If you have a pirate copy of "Aztechno Dream" on mp3 (which i doubt*), then you really ought not to be making any judgements untill you have finally heard it at a party or on a mastered CD.

TIP.World will release the Album two weeks after the UK Launch party on 3rd August. Perhaps people ought to reserve judgement until that time???

*As it happens i am lucky enough to have a promo CD of the new album "Aztechno Dream", and it is with out doubt one of the best TIP.World artist albums ever...

haven´t heard it yet but can´t wait to. i´ve only heard the remix of "people can fly" at the presentation party of "dance or die" in mexico and it blows my mind.

Does anybody knows Ari´s agenda?, i want to know if he´s going to play soon in Mexico

FTR Dj bladerunner it's a promo as well, not mp3 at all.

and otherwise a few more listens and it's holding together nicely.. the london gig will be worth it to see how it goes off... maybe not so fresh and new as I would have hoped but definitely nice full-throttle stuff.

i like it - just the thing is that it all sounds like the same shite - there are one or two tracks near the end of the cd that are 'new' the rest just sound like remixes and reworks of other alien proj and astrix tracks - very good music, well formulated and produced, but i have to say i don't think it will have a very long shelf life... good thing he makes so much of it cos people will get bored of that sound quickly...

..I got the promo CD.. 10 tracks... and as some of you say... Whats New?

I agree with Sukanta, well produced, and even if the 'sound' is not NEW, the last 3/4 tracks have a newer, fresher slant on the AP sound.

I like 'SKUNK' and the remixed 'people can fly' just for its nostalgia value.!

If you think youre gonna get something 'NEW' then be disappointed...

If you are happy with a more 'refined, polished and well produced' AP sound/style.... then u gonna be very happy....

I agree with dam10n, it does not fall into the "Deep or Intelligent" catagory of psy-trance. It's 100% Full-on 4/4 "Dance floor" music.

For Dj's who like to beat-mix and "flip people out" it is a joy! Maybe it's too formulaic for extended home listening, but then again so are GMS, Talamasca, Skazi, etc.

Perhaps it could of done with a couple of down-tempo / chill-out tracks to give it more "contrast".

What else to expect? If you liked Ari Linker's previous SOLO tracks (not with Avi Smimalov aka ASTRIX), i am sure you will love this Album.

Unfortuanately until it is finally released i guess the only people who can really comment are those with cd promo's (mp3's sound terrible at high volume compared with a CD)....

Mike.....(Yes another one!!!!) ;)
