What U think about getting the amazing goa sounds and putting with the Hardcore's hard kicks and distorced grooves?? A great new style or simply Bullshit??I was thinking about it because I've been hearding a lot of great goa(with lots of great samples and melting synths lead) but with no groove(hided kicks and phatless bass)...

Please don't call me stupid if u think that it is against goa rules....it's just a thought...

I think it would be great, whacking the old 909 hardcore beats behind some phat goa sounds!! I have heard many a song with great sounds and fx but the bass is so weak it ruins the enitre track. Hard Psytrance could be the next best thing I think!

Dunno, I find a lot of the harder psy stuff like 3DVision, Skazi, Neuromotor, lastest Etnica ea pretty intensive but lacks the depth and complexity of the old skool stuff...I am not saying it can't be done but I don't expect 2 much of it...

I rather see a return of inspring and twisted melodic twists than harder and faster kicks and bass. Besides, with nearly all artists on the techtrance bandwagon nowadays we already have more emphasis on beats and kicks...BP Empire is a huge step forward in that department compared to the Gathering for example. Nevertheless I consider the Gathering as a true classic whereas I find BP Empire a totally unoriginal and play-it-safe-techtrance-bandwagon-jumping kinda album.

But if it turns out to be a bit like Solar Quest's Acid Air Raid, a combi of gabba and acid with hardly techno influences then bring it on...

It can be whatever you want Miles....the only diference is that the groove and the kicks will be worked out better and harder(not faster)...

We can see a return of the twisted melodies, but with punchy and distorced kicks behind them...no prob...

I'm not saing that all goa tracks are grooveless(i love well done goa) spacemonkey... i'm just saing that there are some songs that could have more powerfull kicks...

Its the same as Trance and Hard-trance....The normal trance tracks has great kicks too but the Hardtrance is so much stronger and agressive....

I like the compressed kinda kicks goa/psy uses, its ten thousand times better for your ears. At most of the other genre's I always have terrible hiss in my ears after going to a party. I just think our style is way beyond for instance clubtrance in productionterms.

Anyone noticed the first use of the 303 in clubtrance nowadays, psy used it ( or the SH101) years ago...

Ah well, just my 2 eurocents.

i like the name very much, but... I don't know, personally i think if a track is good, then it doesn't need a harder kick or stronger rhythm presence- for a song to be powerful, it doesn't need that kind of "hardcore beats"- the bits that "go off" for me are the peaks and the beautiful/dirty/heavenly/acidic melodies :)

if a track is relying on hardcore beats to be powerful, then it is probably an indication that the track itself is crap!

personally, a whole night of hard beats, no matter how psychedelic or goa influenced it is, would probably be do my head in. (in a bad way, of course ;))

there's lots of psychedelicish hard house i've heard- is that what you're after?

Infected Muhsroom - Disco Mushroom. Weak bass wicked song, needs no adjustments. A good show of how to do a great music without hard bass beats, tho I think it'd be pretty MaD with some harder bass behind it :-)
