Guest dam10n
Title says it all... little concerned about Astral Phoenix as a lot of people on the uk scene won't deal with them - including psy dmt in camden and access all areas... any info? Guest Mike Indidginus
Why is that Damion? The reason I ask is that I sent a CD to one of the organizers a little while ago - should I get the boys round?
Guest dam10n
www.hired-goons.co.uk :¬) Stuff I've heard mike is about non-payment of acts and other people they work with, selling more tickets than the fire capacity, actually when you think about it that goes on all the time so maybe they're just like everyone else... just a bit concerned that none of the major london outlets will carrytheir tickets (as far as I know, chaos unltd is their only outlet.) Guest LONDON - I
...I bin goin ta this ere Astral Pheonix and other london parties for 2 yrs or more now... ...Fuck 'Astral Pheonix'.. and fuck 'Kundalni'..!!! .....If u r serious about doing partys for the 'right' reasons.... then avoid these people.... if u wanna make money and REALLY REALLY dont give a 'fig' about your punters..then go ahead and do business with them...... Problem with London right now is the lack of good venues and decent promoters (gone are the Mindscape days 0f 2000....oh well time to get the hell outta here...) BOLLOOOOOOXxxxx
Guest Mike Indidginus
Hmmm. I agree Damion, non-payment of acts, overcrowding of venues & the like is not a new phenomenon. And I don't think it's going to go away any time soon. But having said that, I have had the pleasure of working with some awesome people who are trustworthy & sincere (like Mars & Anoebis!). Meeting people like that makes it all worthwhile It's a shame that the cowboys in the scene chip away at it.
Guest Full Lotus
I know the promoters for both Astral Phoenix and Kundalini. If you want the low down, then ask me via email and I will respond in an honest fashion and one which does not use swearing or bad language.... Guest Kinich Ahau
What is this About !!!!!! Its fair enough for these issues to be disscussed, but as far as I am concerned they are totally false. I have been going to Astral Pheonix for almost three years now. I have talked to mike many times and I know him quite well. Astral Pheonix has never disapointed me. There is always a good vibe, the music kicks ass and every one is jolly happy. As for mike, he is a top notch guy. I know personally several of the acts that have played at astral pheonix and all of them had only good things to say about the party and mike. And as for politics, the politics dont seem to be comming from astral pheonix but rather from some of the people writting comments in this forum. BOOOOOOMMMMM !!! Guest Astral Mike
My name is Mike, i am the promoter (and resident dj) for one of the longest running & succesful psy-trance parties in the UK : "Astral Phoenix". I have been dj'ing & promoting in London for some 7 years now. However during the past 5 years we have booked the following talented atists; Absolum [Chrisof] Aphid Moon [Jules] Astrix [Avi from Alien Project] Chi-Ad Chris Organic Cosma [Avihen] Cosmosis [bill] Cosmic Navagatord [izik from Maskalin] Illumination [Amir from Luminus] Kuma [aka Mumbo Jumbo] Maskalin [Moshe & Izik] Mindfield [John Phantasm] Nomad [dj Mael] Oforia [Ofer] Psychaos [Joti] Psysex [Yoni & Dj Goblin] Purple Shakta [seb] Spacecat [Avi Algranati] Space Safari [Frank Beckers] Talamasca [Dj Lestat] Xerox [Moshe] Yahel I have working with HOMmega productions (Top Israel Label) for over 4 years and i must say i am honoured to represent them here in the UK. We have booked many dj's in the UKscence, of whom many work with established UK labels, such as Atomic, Phantasm, Transient, Alchemy, and now TIP.World with our new Wacko Shanti event (Launch party on 3rd Aug @ EQ). We have also co-promoted with Chichime organisers to make "The Nexus", and we have a good relationship with "Liquid Connective", "Enlightenment", "Kundalini" & "Karoo" among others. As well as promoting Astral Phoenix, Louise (dj Gandolfi) & i launched a new event in London last year called "Dream Theatre" which has been amazingly succesfull. I dont want to go into detail about why we are not selling tickets @ ticket outlets "PsyDMT" & "Access All Areas". This is a very personal matter although i hope this situation will be resolved soon. I cant understand the negative comments on this thread about Astral Phoenix or me personally (dj blade-runner), and its quite upsetting that some people feel this way. We have NEVER overcrowed a venue. Although we have witnessed other promoters who have at venues such as Tyssen Street & EQ. Also we have ALWAYS paid our Act's / Dj's / Lighting / Decor / Crew the agreed amount. If you doubt us on this matter then may i suggest you contact any them directly. Many thanks for your time.... Guest Mr.Hanky
i agree with mike's words, now 4 my personal experience with the orginization: when we played for Astral Phoenix they hosted us at their home and made us feel cosy and very well-treated. he also threw a kickass party for us. i don't know what's the deal with Psy DMT but when we (PsySex) played in london,Nigel(from the store)was very kind to us all and there was "complete Harmony" between all involved. about him as a DJ - please,"get read of him and get some decent music",now this sounds really bad in these god forsakren times. heard him play once, and although it did not blow me away, the crowd loved it and the man mixes well.so where's the problem here? about overcrowding the venues.as said this is a common problem in the clubbing scene.although it may be true, come on,this is neat-picking. it's a bit hard 4 me to understand this negative thread, and i can only assume there are some personal issues behind it... In conclusion, All i can say is the man is making all this for the love of Psytrance, and back up every word of his.
Guest Eyal Yankovich
My name is Eyal Yankovich and i manage the HOMmega label. We have been working with Astral Phoenix for a few years now and all i can say is - THEY HAVE MY VOTE!!!

Guest Mike Indidginus
I think Damion's question was valid enough.
