A Major Problem In AUSTRIA

Guest

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine was due to be playing at a party in Austria this weekend... but this and all psytrance parties have been cancelled by the police, apparently because the only way you can enjoy this music is when you are on drugs. Anyone got any details ? DOes it apply to *all* parties, or just the outdoor ones ?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I would have gone to this party (if it wasn't cancelled)!! Argh, what's happening! In the beggining of the vacation I was sure I would see Goa Gill 3 times, in the mean time ALL those parties are cancelled!

Why are the cops chasing us! We don't do anything wrong :(

And Lurk, to answer on your question, I had mail from Marko (the organiser) telling that it was on ALL psychedelic parties!

Thanks Mr FACIST F*ck Haider!!!

the problem was, that the police didnt know the word psychedelic... so they took the duden (dictionary) and found a definition like that (duden Fremdwörterbuch):

a) das Bewusstsein verändernd; einen euphorischen, tranceartigen Gemütszustand hervorrufend;

B) in einem (besonders durch Drogen hervorgerufenen) euphorischen, tranceartigen Gemütszustand befinden.

So the police made psychedelic deco party <=> drugparty. They made a razia and found haschish, xtc, lsd, cocain in about 34 cases.

The result of all is that in the region tirol (part of austira) will be no parties with the word PSYCHEDELIC till someone does anything against this.

parts of the mail from an organizer:

our summer bash was killed by police because of the word "psychedelic"

and

because of the danger for the national security of the austrian nation (we

received these definiton from the cops themselves) .

--> lol the party organizer terrorists.

Danger to National Security. What horseshit. Sounds like next time the voting comes around, Austrian youth need to get bigtime involved, and get the facist's the fuck out.

Why don't u guys in Austria just call your parties something else...i know its bullshit that you should have to do this, just because of the ignorance of the people in government, but if it means the parties can carry on then why not. So, maybe u should just call them trance gatherings, goa gatherings or anything that does not include the word 'psychedelic'

Yes, I'm sure they will, but the cops are onto it, and it just started this week (although a party was raided 2 weeks ago, and that was the spark that ignited this).

This has been the reality in Sweden for over 5 years now. We even have a special policeforce, ravekommissionen, working just to stop the drugs. Now they work all around the society, but in their first years they were only raiding raves. The solution for this in sweden is to go back underground. Secret outdoorparties for 50-500 persons. The smaller, the bigger chance to be undisturbed.

btw, I'm going to voov, and after that it's possible that i will go to austria for a couple of days. Is there a lot of parties there? Do you need one or two DJ's from sweden playing? If yes, please send a mail.

Peace!

/Peter

Hi friends, officially the summer bash was banned because of the following points:

1) danger for the public security

2) danger for the traffic security

3) danger for the youth security

4) as prevention against an uncotrollable consumption of illegal substances

what should we do with all the tipical austrian beer parties organized in every region of the country? and what's about the famous tyrolean "Mr. Bierbauch" contests?

another austrian guy banned already a kind of music because of the danger for the nation. it was 1935 and a specific form of jazz music was defined as "niggerjazz" and completely forbidden. it was only the beginning of one of the saddest parts of the human history...
