Guest stringtheory Posted July 18, 2002 Posted July 18, 2002 Great lists ! I have heard that cosmosis:synergy is remarkable. Although it is not easy to find. I have heard the same about Jaia:Blue Energy and KoxBox:Dragon Tales, but they are also not easy to find. :-) I love lists. The reason is that you get to discover albums (or whatever the subject is) that are clearly amazing (due to the fact that they are listed at all :-), the people on this site know their psytrance! much respect!) that you may have otherwise never heard of. As for Doof, I have It's About Time. That is a great album. Is the sound on Let's Turn On similiar ?? Quote
Guest --==MileS==-- Posted July 18, 2002 Posted July 18, 2002 The doof question: no, not at all. 'Lets Turn On' is high fidelity old skool; melodic and twisted, whereas 'Its About Time' is Nick Doof's step into minimal ambient; slow and scarce of melodies...The first time I heard 'Its About Time' I checked the sleeve ensuring that it was really a Doof album I was listening to. Guest Gorgonator Posted July 19, 2002 Posted July 19, 2002 The ten albums below are the ones that spring to mind, in no particular order except for the first which is IMO the best album ever made. HUX FLUX - CRYPTIC CRUNCH 5. FUTURE PROPHECY - SHADOWS. 6. KOX BOX - DRAGON TALES 7. LUMINUS - HYPNOTICA 8. RA - TO SIRIUS 9. ASTRAL PROJECTION - IN THE MIX 10. HUMAN BLUE - ELECTRIK ROUNDABOUT All the above albums sound unique to the artist and define why I love this genre so much. Peace !! Gorgonator Quote

Guest peaceful warrior Posted July 20, 2002 Posted July 20, 2002 Hey Stringtheory, great topic. Haven't done this for a while. It's really hard to pick my favorite psy-trance albums out of all the music I have, but I will try. 1. Hallucinogen - Twisted 2. Infected Mushroom - B.P. Empire 3. Pleiadians - I.F.O. 4. X-Dream - We created our own Happiness 5. Juno Reactor - Shango 6. Infected Mushroom - The Gathering 7. Infected Mushroom - Classical Mushroom 8. Juno Reactor - Beyond the Infinite 9. Kox Box - Dragon Tales 10.Kox Box - The Great Unknown Quote
Guest auryn Posted July 21, 2002 Posted July 21, 2002 you guys have already mentioned most of the top albums, but I would still like to mention... Tristan - Audiodrome my all time fave, because tracks like "Fetish" , "Perimeter" and "Infatuation" just blow everything else away! Deedrah - Reload which is just underrated: at first listen you think it's a bit cheap, but everytime you listen, you hear something new. It's like a holiday in the sun in some imaginary country far away! Quote
Guest stringtheory Posted July 21, 2002 Posted July 21, 2002 Thanks Peaceful Warrior ! Good to see your name on the forum again :-) Great lists to all by the way. Alot of albums I am definetly going to check out in the future. Question to all.....Is Ra - To Sirius really worth buying ? I have heard good things, but I would love to get your input on this album. Cosma - Simplicity is another one I would like to get some input on. I thought at one point I was going to get it, but then I read it had alot of clubby elements, and decided against it. Green Nuns of The Revolution: Rock Bitch Mafia......worth getting ??? Thanks peeps and peace to everyone !! :-) Quote
Järsimähäiriö Posted July 21, 2002 Posted July 21, 2002 Are you asking if Rock Bitch Mafia is worth getting?! Do we humans need oxygen? Ahh, in other words, go get it now, if you are having a poop right now then finish it off and then go, otherwise just go. Quote
