shahar@isratrance
Segment - 01 Artist: Segment Title: 01 Label: Zillion Mental Anarchie Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 11'26" Whooky's Wha 02. 08'09" The Gelfing (Uru Mix) 03. 07'00" Function 04. 08'35" Individual Ants 05. 06'56" Shut Up 06. 08'20" We Sold Our Souls 07. 07'34" Hollow House 08. 11'55" Human Bit's Review: A nice to listen to album from Segment and ZMA. Starts soft and caressing with a nice intro into the album with nice guitars, and some good soft progressive tracks that follow. It all rises up slowly and totally rocks with Individual Ants. Then it takes a more clubby direction in the second part of the album. It all ends with the excellent Human Bit's- a great chill track- I heard it 3 times in a row when I got to the end of the CD the first time. Bottom line: Nice diverse album with different tunes. Fun to listen to at home with few good dancefloor tunes. Favorites: 1, 4(!), 6, 8(!).
Guest info[at]trancelucent-zone[dot]co
Segment .01 - ZMA CD010 I woke up this morning, the beautiful sun has already found here spot in the magnificent blue sky. The dedicated postman has already made it to my box and even left a sweet jewel there as well. The new segment album by ZMA has arrived, and let me tell you this: “watch out for ZMA records”, producing one brilliant release after the other, every time with new twists always progressing forward in search for new paths. Segment are Raphael Stehn(Morphem)and dj Jens Buschhaus, this is their first featured release together but are far from being new to the scene, together and apart releasing quality tracks in major labels around Z globe. The first listen blew me away, the second well it moved me, from the third upper it just rocked me. I really find it hard sometimes to define what I like in music and put them into categories but I’ll try this time – if you are looking for a superb progressive psychedelic trance album filled with intact morning melodies funky grooves grab this album and like I said before start looking out for ZMA if you haven’t yet J The album starts with whooky’s wha and what an opener this one is building up slowly starting of with an illusive sweet dreamy melody, sweet fx & great guitar work (by Daniel Dytert). After approx 4 minutes this track takes its spin and throws the listener right into the dance floor, I played it as my opening track in a small party I attended and the reposes were inconceivable. This album is very rich and powerful – a great tool for every DJ around. Track 8 human bits is a great closing track for this fine album, 112 BMP, 11.55 minutes of space A very together well-matured release sliding through progressive to psychedelia Favorites: 1!!!,4,5,7,8!!! Recommended!!!
Guest MG
I heard a fuckwit on "The Weakest Link" use it and she was old. I think it may be hindu. Psychowasher, In my country, the Attorney-General is supposed to be the guy, but convention has made the prime minister the guy (More like the chimp! Guess what country I am from Hint: The fuckwits in charge have always followed the yank's wank).

Guest yan84[at]aquanet[dot]co[dot]il
I know absolutely nothing about Segment, other than it’s Raphael Stehn and Jens Buschhaus, so it’s just as well that this stands out on its own as a fresh, innovative and unique album. Whooky’s Wha is just sublime, with the melodic sensibility of a fresh Orbital and funky guitar stabs over a teasing, half-shuffled set of beats that slowly evolve into a plastic 4-4 onslaught. The vibe throughout is stylish, dubby and laid-back in a way that keeps you grooving nicely through it’s cute eleven and a half minute romp. The Gelfling (Uru Mix) kicks off with some nice, deep-set acid runs over a sturdy kick, with progressive elements and gathering psychedelic chunks in a way that’s a joy to hear. Things get busier with the 144bpm Funk.tion, with classic-techno riffs put through the blender over a bustling rhythm section. Distorted vox lines and rising acid keep things going, and it rides on out on the crest of a delicate and balanced trance wave. Individual Ants takes it a step more sinister, a futuristic stroll through a post-nuke underground civilisation, and Shut Up is a perfect-basslined and unfoldingly mesmerising bit of deep progressive with some killer melodies eased in for good measure. We Sold Our Souls has a gritty low-end over which delightful, eased-back progressive melodies weave in and out making for a nice balance between the sinister and the light. Vintage house flavours mix with Rebirth-happy 303’s in Hollow House and the vacuum-dub of Human Bit’s brings the album to an easy, refined close. Truly staggering stuff, genuinely different and breathing light and variety into the progressive-psychedelic melting pot.

freak51
Airy and precisely timed, guaranteed to raise a smile. 9/10 from me. Definitely ZMA has raised their game with this release.
freak51
Be warned that this is a fairly gentle, lightweight release, better for daylight. Mixing it with heavier fare will pretty much shred it to tatters.
seraph
Som ekind of interesting but it gets lost somewhere...Sounds are melloow and clear...Production is great and the groove is very nice...The only problem is that it gets a bit repetitive sometimes...Best on album : FUNCTION, INDIVIDUAL ANTS, HOLLOW HOUSE, HUMAN'S BIT...7/
