This is what I would call psychotic old school. It reminds me a little of the resonance moods comp on Matsuri. Lots of gritty acid lines playing dark/crazy melodies. First song by Bumbling Loons is nice, quite calm compared to the rest. Second song by Freak Disciple is good, with some similarities with other Tristan's songs. It builds slowly towards a very funky synth lead. Next song is ok, but I don't like the the last minutes with a weird distorted horn sound. I have trouble listening to the Slinky Wizard song, with some kind of accoustic guitar playing random notes. The Alienated song I like, very harsh acid line. After that, the Jammy Wizard track would be just nice, with nice percussions, if it wasn't for the end of the song which is hellish. Next song by Sharas is completely spoiled by an ugly electric guitar. The two last songs are excellent, the best of this comp I think. The Darshan is more classic, but very well done with some great overlapping melodies and the Deflo track has some cool oscillating songs in it. Overall a pretty good flight. Guest Big Mama
Nice one, this is the only Flying Rhino Flight I own so ireally cant compare it to the others, Anyway my favourite track is Freak Disciple - Freedom Engine. It starts kind of quiet with some atmospheric sounds then at about 1minute in the song BOOM!!!! and from ther on it is so damn good!!!! Guest Ubik
Duh ! "...the Deflo track has some cool oscillating *sounds* in it." I think this pretty similar to black rhino too, which I got recently.
