Guest llazi
Hmm, I don't know why u people think Juno Reactor does psychedelic music. I think in all his career he never made a real psy track. During 1997-98 I could associate him with cj bolland, FSOL and so on, but never psy. Now he started making some wired sounds more and that's all. I defentivly don't think Juno Reactor is a Psy artist. There are a lot more artists, that are far more psy that JR and no one fit's them to psy. Best example for albums of well known artists are Laurent Garnier - Unreasonable Behaviour Christopher lawrence - Rise and I can tell you they are far more psy then Juno Reactor Peace

Guest bahamut
they make cool music I guess some tracks could be called psychedelic trance, others not and I thought that transmission was a big influence for psytrance music? high enery protons and laughing gas sure sound "psy" to me but why actually care how "psy" they are artists that don't fit in a specific genre and just do their own stuff are usually the ones that I really like anyway... do you really think they care themselves? It is probably some of the best posychedelic music ever made.
Guest APlusC
They range from very psychedelic like Feel the Universe to really bizzare like Pistolero. But either way, it's a lot of fun. If you have such a strict definition of psy then I think you will find that artists like Infected Mushroom are not psy also.
Otto Matta
I think it's funny how different genres try to claim Juno Reactor as theirs. To me this is the very thing that makes Juno Reactor great. If they (Ben et al.) fit squarely into any one genre the music wouldn't be nearly as interesting. Honestly, I think the music is more psychedelic than anything else - and done much better than most artists. I was listening just last night to Bible of Dreams - Kaguya Hime has got to be one of the most intense and original pieces of psychedelia ever. I don't see what's so wrong with creating music that doesn't follow the rulebook to the letter like so many other artists do.
Guest Mike D
I think the thing is that people are a bit copnfused by genres. If you look at the original goa trance, back in the early '90s before it was really trance with a 4/4 beat and heaps of synth and acid layers, then you'd realise that goa trance is more a display of ethnic sounds meeting modern sonic manipulation/ It is when you confuse the osund of psychedelic trance, which is more what we get today, with the sound of goa that juno reactor does not fit in. I think Juno Reactor is more Goa Trance than nearly any other group, but it is not reall Psy Trance.
Järsimähäiriö
You do understand, MikeD, that this "goa trance and psy trance are two different things" is just something you made up yourself, don't you?
Guest spacemonkey - 604
yes they are, mayby not your standard psy trance, but sure trippy as hell! (mayby for me even more because they are so different)
Guest raz
These guys are amazing an have made some of the best trance music ever!! They dare to think of music in new ways and have inspired some, of the "major" new trance acts like: Ticon, Son Kite amongst others. This is a fact... And their album "Bible of dreams" is one of the all time, best albums (i think so at least). So who cares if they are psy or not? It´s all trance anyway.... Guest bahamut
Juno Reactor rules because of: - their original trance music - the big difference between individual tracks, but still always good - Rotorblade

Guest llazi
Hey, maybe u misnderstood me. I listen to Juno Reactor and I don't give a fuck if they are psy or not. I just wanted to start a debate about why some artist are considered psy and why some other artist not. U know what I mean. P.S. to mUGGIE If we compare our ages and our psy experiences I think the TEENAGE WANKER schould be you answering that way. So check your language dude peace
Guest loforien
big boyLlazi, Juno reactor are the one who create Psychedelic trance. there is nothing more psychedelic than juno reactor. You should konw that !!
Guest stringtheory
Juno Reactor bored the hell out of me. I bought Shango, and promptly returned it. Really boring, and not that interesting at all. I agree with llazi. Shango was not very psychedelic. Being that I have not heard his other releases, I cannot comment on those. But as for Shango, I was not impressed whatsoever. And as for the insulting, damn that is lame. Grow up mUGGE. Is that how you speak to someone when you disagree with them in your everyday life ??? If so you really need some lessons in civility. Otto Matta
stringtheory - You must get copies of Juno's older stuff. Nothing compares to them. Shango is probably the most commercial sounding of the four albums. I know that we all have different preferences, but in my opinion Transmissions is the best, followed by Bible of Dreams. There are a few tracks on Beyond the Infinite that will blow you away - as Bahamut mentioned, try Rotorblade. Killer track. Doesn't get much better. Guest Setsuko
Tribal Trance with electronic manipulated psychedelic sounds .. no it's not psytrance , it even isn't goa ( who cares anyway ) .. it's JUNO REACTOR !!! the one and only ... Guest brain
You people know SHIT! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE good statement....eheheheh Juno early work ..transmissions , Beyond Infinitives was definetely trance and psytrance orientated.. Bible of Dreams is more tribalistic , ethnic...but trance 4/4 rhythms are still there.. Shango is different story more experimental , downtempo... They were the pioneers of psytrance among with others... Laurent garnier never released something psy... and definetely not Christopher Lawrence .... more techno here!! anyway enough of talking here... Just check the following tracks and find it out yourself.. Guardian Angel Feel The Universe Conga Fury Rotorblade Samurai High Energy protons Mars
Guest bahamut
I wish they'd make an entire track of that cool part in the middle of Laughing Gas
Guest Peaceful Warrior
Man I just don't agree with your opinion on Juno Reactor not being Psychedelic Trance. They are creative and therefor their music is not formulaic. But it is fast, beat driven, hypnotic music and so it can be considered trance. And it most definitely is psychedelic. Listen again with open ears and minds. So if it is trance and it is psychedelic then why can't it be considered psytrance. But in the end I agree with some above who have said that it doesn't matter what you call it, it is amazing music.
