Guest RaverGirl
Cosmic Tone - Overwhelming Artist: Cosmic Tone Title: Overwhelming Label: Trancelucent Date: 2003 Track listing: 01. Hard To Open 02. Total Lust 03. Mukambaru 04. Human 05. Cosmic Tone 06. Love Expression 07. Stress Pill 08. Not Like That At All Review: Cosmic Tone are Roei Nissan & Noga Sudai -fresh names in the Israeli minimal trance scene and are now out with their first album on Trancelucent Production. They have quite a unique style - nightish fat bassline with soft melodic tunes, which turns their music into a very powerful one, and yet at the same time minimal. Their music is perfect for a sunrise set. Very very recommended. I can't stop listening to the album ever since I got it.
Manuser
Cosmic tone : Overwhelming (Trancelucent productions, 2003) 1. Hard To Open (sample) 2. Total Lust (sample) 3. Mukambaru (sample) 4. Human (sample) 5. Cosmic Tone (sample) 6. Love Expression (sample) 7. Stress Pill (sample) 8. Not Like That At All (sample) As i saw there was only one review in the old section, I thought this album deserved to be posted here. Overwhelming was the first Cosmic tone's album, and the best too, a lot of people will agree with me I think. Some tracks remind me a bit Atmos Headcleaner style, at least the atmosphere in the tracks, slow, relaxing, dark and morning at the same time. I can't really describe it, i think it is a mix between minimal psy and progressive psy, it is quite melodic, with loud basslines, with light kicklines, and very morning for sure. It is a soft album, really clean, and highly recommended. We need more albums like this. Fav tracks, I'd say 3, 6, 8.
Guest Rain
very nice ablum indeed... I liked it a lot the same with the cosma release that year If I remember correctly... motivating basslines with a slight floating melodic touch... very enjoyable

Trance2MoveU
Artist: Cosmic Tone Title: Overwhelming Label: Trancelucent Productions Date: April, 2003 01. Hard To Open 02. Total Lust 03. Mukambaru 04. Human 05. Cosmic Tone 06. Love Expression 07. Stress Pill 08. Not Like That At All Before this label began to put women's vaginas on the album cover, they were a pretty well respected bunch. Cosmic Tone (at this point were a duo) released this cracker that was like nothing else at the time. Like others have said it's a clever mix of minimal (but not boring you to tears) and dark atmosphere punctuated with effects. It crawls, slithers, and at times growls. But deep it is my friend as they began to creep out of the dark melody free ages. This is 9 years old and still sounds very fresh to my ears seeming to evolve and twist at every turn. It's like one extended dream sequence that will take your emotions from one end of the spectrum to the other. Supremely recommended.
