Guest Jean-Sebastien.Bedard[at]medisol Posted June 16, 2000 Posted June 16, 2000 P Cok - Acid Troopers Artist: P Cok Title: Acid Troopers Label: Krembo Date: 1998 Track listing: 01. 08'29" Annelectric 02. 08'12" Tracker 03. 06'41" Mukout 04. 07'49" Acid Trooper 05. 07'58" VEF 06. 09'07" Liquid Lunch 07. 07'55" Geteyo 08. 08'59" Joygazm 09. 08'42" Skypusher Review: POOR album. All i can say with some listens is that album is the worst crap i've ever listened to. First the recording quality is very bad (you must raise the level of your stereo in the high for hear something). All track are similar with a poor bassline and bassdrum, no special effects of distinctions. Very minimalist and simple...Disapointing album that shouldn't be sell in stores. All i can give with sympathy is a low 1/10 for the effort to make music. Quote
Guest mrsyed Posted June 16, 2000 Posted June 16, 2000 You know I thought I was the only one who shared the feeling that it was a poor mastering and effort. This release was hailed as a masterpiece by a lot of 604 listees. I hate it. It's almost directionless and badly put together. The cover evokes a bad ominus feeling. Get Enertopia's Face Adapter instead, it's much better. Quote
mars Posted June 17, 2000 Posted June 17, 2000 This album is too hard. It seems the guys were too lazy to balance correctly all their instruments. It sounds bad. Eventually, you get bored very quickly. What's worse is that some tracks are good; but all you want while listenting to the others is escape. 3.5/10. Quote
Guest [Anonymous] Posted September 18, 2000 Posted September 18, 2000 THIS ALBUM IS A BLOODY MASTERPIECE! It is hard and acidic and if you're into your acid you'll dig it! Quote
Guest Isra-Alien Posted September 29, 2000 Posted September 29, 2000 A pure master-piece. Since when minimalistic sound is bad?? Every tune, excapt the terrbile Annelectric is brilliant! a must-buy-cd, trust me. Quote
Guest Dandoo Forest Posted October 23, 2000 Posted October 23, 2000 i like this this old israelien styl ammm the best track in the album it's : Liquid Lunch very dark night psy!! very good one !!! i love it! the rest of the album not like that..... but nice 2 ) Quote
Guest prophet_goa[at]yahoo[dot]com Posted February 25, 2001 Posted February 25, 2001 This is mind bending stuff at its best. These guys have brought the melodies that they grew up with throughout their culture into their music better than any Israeli Psy-trance act I can think of. A perfect blend of intelligence and melodies and no cheese. Much respect and THANK YOU P.Cok!!! -- Prophet Goa Quote
Guest [Anonymous] Posted June 15, 2001 Posted June 15, 2001 I REALLY think all you people are on too much CRACK! this album is super nice! HARD and ACIDIC! and i love the Chanting at the begining of Annelectric! good transistions too. Much energy in this Album and track 6 Liquid lunch is Very trippy. I dunno i guess for all you people who still like Astral Projection and paul oakenfold this is too much but 4 me this is the reason electronica exists. Quote
Guest Digital Brain Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 Althow Double dooper is the best track on Full On vol.2 this album is something completely different. You would probably say "no way, this has to be a good album". Whell, althow I would like it ti be, IT ISN'T. Best track is track 10.Skypusher. If you have heard any of their singles, the album is in the same style, acid and not so psychedelic like Double dooper. The bass lines are still old school GOA and their hats are still like their (i've mentioned it a hundred times but here goes again Double dooper :)Anyway, its still worth having it in your coolection, for old times sake .....7/10 Quote
