Guest Psychedelic Teacher/Psy-T
V/A - Adrenalin Take One Artist: Various Title: Adrenalin Take One Label: Phonokol Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 7'23" Astrix And Atomic Pulse : Noise Freak 02. 7'03" Zorba And Chicago : Into (and Thru) the Vortex 03. 7'47" Yahel : Tribal Maker 04. 7'50" Xerox And Passenger : Free Zone 05. 6'06" GMS And Chicago : Crack The Whip 06. 6'31" Panick : Soul Calibur 07. 8'17" Lish : Electric 08. 8'12" Twin : Mr Trinity 09. 8'12" Ultima : Deck Lizard 10. 8'05" Infected Mushroom : S Is Here (Yahel remix) Review: a very nice compilation BUT BE AWARE - its a very clubby compilation. noise freak: i loved astrix since he was making nitzhonot and we all heard his work with alien project in "midnight sun" - i think he is going in the right direction so astrix, keep going!!! 10/10 into the vortex: i love every one of the tracks that were made by chicago & zorba and there is no exception here 12/10 tribal maker: the fact that yahel is trying to impress people in MTV isnt going to ruin this nice track for me - 10/10 (im starting to think that none of the tracks on this cd is gonna get less then 10/10.....) free zone: nothing really intresting here but not necesserily bad... 8.8/10 (cheee.. i guess i was wrong....) crack the whip: nice track 9.7/10 soul calibur: although this compilation is clubby i dont think that this track is enough melodic 8.1/10 electric: i have no idea why lish's track is in this compilation, lish usually makes psychedelic minimalistic music for USTA label, the track itself is very good 9.4/10 mr trinity: new artist and a very promising one too 9.1/10 deck lizard: also a new artist... 7.6/10 s is here (yahel remix): come on infected: where is the classical mushroom stuff? what has happened to you??? this track is good but i sure miss infected's old style (does symphonatic bring a bell?) 9/10 the whole cd: 10/10 okay, i admit i was wrong earlier saying this is a clubby compilation cause there are some tracks here which are not club trance, and im not gonna say what style are they but not because i dont know but because i dont like genres!!! so let me conclude by saying this cd is 100% pure TRANCE and lett's call it a night, okay? Guest Defbydelta...
i also thought that infected was over, but i think its yahel that makes the old infected sound dissapeared but that song is good. Im very couries about that Gms Chicago track never heard it before and i think its one hell of a kick killer there.. the rest is some good stuff thats lucks fine to me.. Guest baboon
sounds crap! ... so many good artists on this comp, and they gone clubby? that´s tragical... can't they release this stuff on other labels or something... anyway, probably need to hear this before I say anything further... jaimz
Far out man, this really is my kind of sound-long drum rolls, uplifting climaxes, a real true club sound and best of all that feeling that makes you want to take your shirt off-Phonokol keep it coming!!!! Guest goa[at]c4[dot]com
This is not clubby, just full on melodic trance- very outdoor sound- the full on melodic revolution is back, it seems. Psy-T, give it another listen before u write net time. Bom Shankar!
Guest arjanloogman[at]hotmail[dot]com
Very nice comp. Noise Freak proves that even a more clubby sound can work for goa trance. And just when you think the track will gently fade away in a sort of morning trancy way during the last 2 and a half minutes, the track even gets more full-on after the last break! Nice job... 8/10 Into and Thru the Vortex: just a nice track... 7/10 Tribal Maker...wel...to be honest, I bought Yahel's album "Waves of sound" and I even liked it, but why put him on this comp? His sound (especially the weight he puts on the bass-drum) doesn't fit in with the rest of the tracks I think. 6/10 Free zone: a bit empty for a track partly done by Passenger, but it has a really nice groove... 7/10 Crack the Whip: Another nice one, better than Into the Vortex (probably cuz of the GMS influences) 7,5/10 Soul Calibur: I like this one, especially the "Amnesia" sample (where the hell did Panick get this one?)! 7,5/10 Electronic: Lish uses these perfect sound settings, but I mis something... Maybe cuz I'm a more full-on fan and this is a sort of clubby full-on comp...6,5/10 Mr Trinity: well, just a nice one 7/10 Deck Lizard: Idem 7/10 S is here:...D.I.S.A.P.P.O.I.N.T.M.E.N.T.! Why for God's sake use the Yahel remix? Ruins the end of what could be a really nice done comp! The Infected sound is gone, the climaxes in the track are no climaxes, what a pitty! 5,5/10 Overall rating for this comp: 7/10 This was my very first review, hope you guys liked it (let me know). You may note that my ratings are not quite high, but (certainly in my first review) I really don't want to OVERrate any of the artists... Greetinx to the rest of the alien-tribe... Guest Acidhive
Pretty good stuff here... It's just one of those compils that has some really fine songs on it. Just listens away pretty easy also, and is dancable too! Great work here from Phonokol. If you're into some more Israeli trance, you should get this! 8/10 from me here! Guest opul
I'm a little surprised that nobody commented on the fact that GMS & Chicago - Crack the Whip and GMS : Zak And Kracht from the FIRE compilation are the exact same track. Anyone got some background on that? other than probably some stoned story again
Guest Santissima°!!
...The really Masters of FULLON................ Phonokol 10/
Guest Goa Spirit
good compilation i liked the first track a lot,,, other songs are all playable and are melodic morningish sounds... i like it, very nice soothing sounds... i wouldn't call it clubby though, that would be an injustice....... clubby to me is like house, and trance like judge jules, oakie, sasha etc, way more restrained and play it safe than this stuff,,,
seraph
Pretty good compilation but it could have been slightly better...I like most of the tracks but some of them are rater poor...The best tracks are NOISE FREAK, INTO AND THRU THE VORTEX ( !! ), TRIBAL MAKER ( ! ), CRACK THE WHIP, S IS HERE...7.5/
Ormion
This release is bad IMO. It has only two great tracks: Tribal Maker which is more Tiesto style than Psy but it's damn good and the Zorba track that again is a bit trancey but darker and very good! Unfortunately the rest of the tracks are mediocre or bad. Yahel's rmx to S Is Here is awful! 5/10 thanks to the two great tracks
