my favourites: 2,5,7,8,10. 5 And 8 are really the best. The whole compil is

rather psychedelic And dark and the groove is still up ot date. 8/10

Well most of the Tracks here aren't very melodious, I don't like Tracks 6&9 and

my favourites are Tracks 3,5,7 And BY FAR 8 ! Rating : 4/10

One of Flying Rhino's best comps,

full of timeless classics. I prefer tracks 2-4 as they're more

melodic, but everyone is sure to

find something to their taste here. Much better than the "Flight"

compilations, get it if

you can.

Ehh. The tunes aren't as groovy as the cover art. "Tranceformations" is a

timeless twisted classic; "Dealing With Demons" is pleasant but not A-list;

the rest I found disposable.

a kikin comp definately, blue planet corp (one of my favorite groups) comes

out with another excellent track, the darshan track is old, but possibly the

best off of awakenings, which says a lot slinky wizard is up to his usual

goodness with the wizard, and stripper, psychaos and process have more great

tunes, a definate buy

I bought this on a "CD-sale" a couple years ago and it turned out to be a real

bargain!

This is "Goa trance" at it's peak (they don't make "Goa" like this anymore)!

damn, track 3 is sooo good! luv it! and well Slinky Wizards 'The Wizard'

ROCKS...need i say more. very nicely pyschadelic in true Flying Rhino style.

Listening to this now. I really liked the second half of Biological Manipulators, That is real PsyGoa!

I had never heard Dealing with Demons but wow, so powerful!

The BPC track is magical of course. Wouldn't it be sweet if we could get a new BPC old-school melodic album to come out?!? The Stipper track is thumping and abrasive but I liked it.

I felt the Psychaos track sounded like just that, psychaos. Perhaps it will get better on repeated listens.

I thought the Syb Unity track was... different. But in a good way. It wasn't that melodic, but it had a dark crazyness I enjoyed.

Darshan's Tranceformation was a good production

I found Process's track to be more of a grumbling psytrance than goa. Pretty heavy and dark with good Psy noises.

Slinky Wizard's take on the James Bond Theme isn't a remix of the theme but it does have some elements in it. Good melodic goa there!

 

I would give this CD a solid 8/10. Something for everyone who is into old-school!

Surely one of the top 10 cd's I own. Dealing with demons, manipulators, wizard (koxbox remix), dense dawn, transformation ,... etc...

Some tracks are already on other cd's but this tracklist is absolutly one the best in the history of goatrance for me!!!

I've realised I haven't posted any comment for this one. What is to say ? It is Flying Rhino and very psychedelic !!!

 

This was before they switched to progressive style... full of surprises, dance floor stormers, just the right kind of psychedelia from the era.

 

1997 was stunning year for psychedelic trance and this compilation proves it. 9/10

Really like this one, it's an album that always delivers, can't get enough of it. If you like original psychedelic music get this album.

One of the best compilations i have the pleasure of owning - perhaps even THE best. A very dark overall theme but so much variety across the board. first two tracks are sheer haunting perfection. Koxbox track is genius - so much intricate detail, The break/change in the second half of the Stripper track defines "BAD-ASS" and the Slinky Wizard Bond theme is so subtle and musical - IMO the blue print for psychedelic progressive trance.

 

An absolute gem this.

 

ps The Psychaos track is hard as nails as usual - Joti is the king of monster basslines!!
