Guest TRISTAN
Skazi - Animal Artist: Skazi Title: Animal Label: Shaffel Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 07'07" Pissed Off 02. 06'47" Are You Still There? 03. 07'12" Expose 04. 06'05" Ironic 05. 07'03" Animal 06. 06'51" Slide 07. 07'23" And Than ... 08. 06'15" Chainsaw 09. 07'15" Stealing My Memories Review: Skazi is Asher Skazi which is a new israeli artist who deliver a new style (the first israeli artist for such style) which is hard and evil psytrance. Heavy basslines and sharp percussion are the key here. The tracks on this album are at the same style, but each tells a different story, without any melodies at all (though you can't call it minimal). This kind of hard psytrance reminds me of GMS just less evolved. About the tracks - all tracks are set in order, so the cd starts with the softest, and ends with the harder tunes. Rec: 1, 6, 7, 8 (!), 9 Overall 7.5/
Jeto
This album has these low frequency "wah wah" sounds... A lot like Gms for sure...First track has a really nice break towards the end.. but then Guitars = cheeze.. my personal opinion.. would have sounded much better without the guitars... in the 3rd track very twisted and kreaky metalic sounds.. 4th track is just hard psytrance.. boop boop... the kickdrum beating along... with the hard bassline...with small minimal kind of sounds 5th track "title track" starts of with some samples... very straight forward psy hard trance...just crazy stuff going in all directions finally concluding to something... 6th track .. a sample " you feel this energy all around you.. now find your power"... fast pickup... some nice samples.. make it sound like chants... and cuting of the beat leaving the samples echoing...7th track has guitars.. its quite a ncie one.. but i dont like much guitars... except on Infected Mushroom - Devil (Final Mix)...8th track starts of with this spine tickling sound..into this hard kick drum.. fast pickup... some nice breaks and prolly one of the best tracks of the album...Last track is very hard... DEEP bassline... sample "you are feeling very sleepy.. u are relaxing" same sample from another MFG song...! Overall I would give this album 7/

Guest Goa Spirit
This is the stuff... i am hooked on this album.. amazingly high charged.. and i beg to differ ... gms is obviously really good.. but in my opinion skazi doesn't really sound like them,,, o.k its hard, but its hard in a very different way :-)... Personally i think this is one of the best releases this year... 9/10... put it on and watch the floor fill up.. yeah!!
Guest Dano[at]dds[dot]nl
Sick twisted psy-trance from hell !! Grr-Grr Oink! Oink! Especially 'are you still there' and 'chainsaw' are great tunes (9.5/10). This is the stuff that disconnects your cortex and lets the limbic system take over - when played sparsely. Too much will bore the hell out of almost anybody, and so will the rest of the tracks when played only once. Overall: 7/
max
This album could have been 10 times better. The rythmics + basses are good but the leads are awfull...sounds like a synth arpeggiator playing the same 3 notes pattern during the whole track....There's also some "sublte" signs of Nithzonot inside (if Nithzonot can be said "subtle") Anyway this is really music done BY israelis mostly FOR israelis. I guess this is why this album is very popular over there and almost unknown here.

Guest AlexG
best album you've ever heard?! hardly! how many trance cds do you have then, 3? =) really, i don't quite get what these guys (skazi) are trying to do: the basses are awful, the leads are even worse, the kicks are not strong enough, and the samples are just downright silly. are we making trance or cartoons? but sometimes, on a few tracks, the formula works, so this album is not a complete waste. it's just sad that overall low quality like this is being released. they should've spent more time in the studio and made more tracks like 6,7,8,9, because 1-5 are BAD, they made me skip to the next track after 2-3 minutes, and i almost never skip tracks! maybe 6/
Guest AlexG
umm...ok, maybe i was in a bad mood or something, but i'm coming around. the thing is actually not that bad, and most tracks are listenable... i guess it grows on you, BUT! the samples are still plain DUMB! =) the stupidest samples ive ever heard in a record, and what makes it worse, they use SO MANY! easily beats psysex for stupidity of samples. those alone are enough to ridicule this record, but the music itself is ok (except some bad guitars. i usually dont mind guitars in trance, but these are BAD). up to 7/

Guest AMP
This CD is great. The musics are a granted success in any cool dance floor. I had the pleasure of watching Skasi live, playing this CD in Portugal and it was great. The people couldnt stop jumping, dancing with a smile all the time. Great breaks, great beat, I appreciated very much.

Tlacactoc
Very hard trance. Once u get up on the first track, u wont go down till it ends... They seem to be mad when made this album... Recomemded for the climax of the party, not for warming up, not for the morning. A very very good job, but i can't tell its addictive... For sure, better don't miss it! Honest and humble music lover.
