Guest nois[at]techmedia.poznan[dot]pl
Anomalie - Anomalie / Ode To Arcadia Artist: Anomalie Title: Anomalie / Ode To Arcadia Label: D-Drum Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Anomalie 02. Ode To Acardia Review: The EARGEAR duo, also known as FLETCHER MUNDSON SYNDROM, has already released some great EP's and one of the best albums in a progressive/minimal trance style - CLUBKRAFT. The newest EARGEAR EP seems to be a continuation of the uncompromising, hard, well engineered minimal trance style. Both sides are great, night-time tunes. Side A is ANOMALIE, a 135 bpm monster, strong percussive sounds combined with industrial sounds, with a devastating, atmospheric break two minutes before the end. The other side, ODE TO ARCADIA is only 130bpm, but still one of the hardest trance tunes i've ever heard. The earthquaking bassline, great percussive sounds and industrial mindblows Just play it at +2 and those who'll stay alive won't stay sane It does even contain a shade of melody So if you like music from authentic, midi miliz etc. this is the best you could buy. And watch out for the new EARGEAR album soon! (9.5/10)

Guest Stormbringer
I finally got it yesterday and it was worth the wait. BOOM BOOM BOOM... this is some nasty stuff only for us who think bleeding from the ears is something natural ;-)
ukiro
The anomalie track is somewhat boring and more hard/dark than good in my opinion. Ode To Arcadia on the other hand, is truly brilliant. This EP is worth every penny for that track alone.
Guest Mescalinium
D-drum continues to put out some truly viscious psy-techno. I can't say I've been to fond of Eargear's previous releases, but the addition of wayan from spirallianz seems to create a very nice fusion of styles. Extemely hard, heavy, and bone crushing in the best possible sense. Think The Delta minus some of the atmospherics plus Midi Miliz minus the electro rythms. Add that formula together and you've got some blisteringly violent beats to annoy the neighbors with, and who could really ask for more than that? 7/10.
