CD1 is an eclectic mix of tracks that vary from Ambient to Trip-Hop to Drum n Bass witha few funky, laid back, 4/4 tracks. It isn't my cup of tea, but the last track "Mosquito Mountain" is just insane! It is one of my favourite tracks on the whole compilation. The thing about this CD is the tracks aren't just hard n banging, there is so many emotions explored, this CD is so refreshing to hear. Anyway, CD 2 is the rocking one! Phony Orphants "Shrooms & Fishfingers" is a standout track as is Rumburak & Limited Lunacy. The other tracks are really good, but these are the ones that stick in my mind after owning this compilation for only 2 days. Do yourself a favour & at least listen to it! Quote
Guest brian[at]goashoppen[dot]com Posted February 17, 2001 Posted February 17, 2001 Havn't heard the whole thing but cd 2 kicks major ass...and yes...Phony Orphants standout. But so does Amphasis and Algeria...pure progressive bliss. Quote
Guest mgambera[at]pacificaccess.com[do Posted February 18, 2001 Posted February 18, 2001 Update...Matrix is just insane, one of the best tracks on the whole album as is psyko shuttle!!! This CD gets Better & Better everytime I listen to it!!! Quote
Guest GoaGabba. Posted February 26, 2002 Posted February 26, 2002 Anything by Man of the Last 3rd on this album is really good. I only bought this a couple of weeks ago, and it has not dated at all. Fat Freddy's Cut has a really addictive bassline. On the ambient side (CD1)IL's mosquito mountain is the one, IL being Man of the Last 3rd. Don't let it put you off that it's two years old, it's standing the test of time. Bottom Line: Progressive Cd2, Ambient Cd1 Quote
