Guest wasg[at]lettera[dot]net Posted December 4, 2000 Posted December 4, 2000 I know well Astralasia. They are a great name of the 90's early psychedelic scene in UK, along whit Eat Static and Banco-de-Gaia. This album is a compilations of their first singles. The members come from a psychedelic rock band called The Magic Mushroom Band and at the beginning they made a mixture of progressive rock, folk, rave hardcore and ambient dance, and you could hear their first experimentations in this album. Sul-E-Stomp is a masterpiece, one of the best dance tracks in the history, the perfect fusion between folk and dance. Hashishin is a flying track, a voyage to "A better place" (as the lyrics says) and along whit Sul-E-Stomp made of Astralasia a true legend in british clubs as Whirl-Y-Gig and festivals as WOMAD. This album also includes others great tracks as Realise your Purpouse and Univeria Zekt (a cover of the rare 70's progressive band Magma). I recommend it strongly Quote
