Children
Bodh Gaya - Ayahuasca Artist: Bodh Gaya Title: Ayahuasca Label: High Society Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 10'11" Ani Shinan 02. 08'23" The Spirits Arrive 03. 08'12" Flight Beyond Milky Way 04. 07'15" Catharsis Of Body And Soul 05. 08'20" Im Rachen Des Jaguars 06. 09'45" Inside The Anaconda 07. 06'51" Shono Der Weltenbaum 08. 06'48" Return Of The Soul 09. 09'58" Natema Review: I can't believe it !!! AWESOME !!!!!! This album contains MANY tribal sounds and is fantastic ! I really love this style :-) I don't see any Bad Tracks here and have 4 favourites : Tracks 3,4,6 and particularly 5 ! Track 1 is chill-out, other Tracks are very psychedelic And melodic, but that's NOT israeli style ! Melodies never go wrong And are very trippy, and tribal sounds are sometimes strange, but don't ruin the Tracks at all :-) I even think that's better in this way cause this album really gives you the impression you're in a party in the jungle :-) You should listen to it in its entirety, as a journey, to have more happiness ! BEWARE : that's a VERY original album, so listen to it before buying it (in case of you don't like tribal sounds at all), but I really don't know how you could think it's a bad release :-) Rating : 8.5/
Guest step_beyond[at]yahoo[dot]com
Well i am not into melodic stuff but tracks 1,2 and 9 are very good tribal tracks !!!
Anoebis
Véry good album!!! There are 2 real dance-songs on it and the others songs are more downtempo Tribal Trance... )) The best song in my opinion is nr. 5!! Real fast rythm with many and fast 303 sounds..., but originally used... Other awesome songs are nr 1 (rather Ambient), nr 6 (the second Dance-song with a straaangge sample...) and nr. 9 (downtempo with a cool German text at the end of the song...)!! So if you like Tribal sounds this CD is a MUST!!! Bom Shankar
Guest Tequila
I don't like it at all.it is bad german trance, with a crual lack of originality.not psychedelic, and truely boring.avoid it.3/
Guest Paddohead
This is one of the best home-listening albums ever! 9/10!!
Guest Ravemail10
Where do I start? VERY VERY GOOD! As was said before, it's on the theme of tribal goa. A lot of real indian shouting and jungle sounds. All mixed in very intelligently. If this is not original, what is? This, gentlemen, is where you can find true innovation with the weirdness that comes with Psy-Harmonics. As anoebis so beautifully put it - the sound of paradise! Only one complaint, the production could have been a little better - some samples sound a little askew with the music. But it only serves to give these samples a more down-to-earth feel, as if a real indian was singing! 9/10 Bom Shankar! - Raven
Setsuko
I like this style, it's fresh and dark in my opinion. With fresh I mean you hear the sound of nature, tribal sounds are surrounding the listening area and creating a massive atmosphere... .The dark side of the music makes you want to go deeper and deeper inside the music towards the unknown. I like all the tracks in their own kind of way cause of the unique sounds and samples the tracks contain. Inside the Anaconda is a real 'killer'. It's no regular goatrance, more german trance but it's worth listening ... 8/
Guest rx7style
Hmmm, I really didn't like the album. I thought it was pretty weird sounding, and I think it was a little too dark to combine tribal sounds into the mix. I will say it's quite innovative though, not too repetative, but my interest gets lost half way through the album. Worth a listen, but it will sit at the bottom of my collection. 5.5/
Guest ecstasymfl[at]bol.com[dot]br
How could people say that there are only 2 dancable trakcs on it?? it's untrue. There are 3 tracks that is not dancable "ani shinan", "natema" and "the spirits arrive" (chill-out). The rest of the album is really cool, is what I call real GOA (ethnic chants, songs, natural sounds and tribal beats). May some say it's not for dancefloor because of its uplifting beats in most tracks. But in this album you can find killers like "inside the anaconda", "in rachen des jaguars" and "shono der weltenbaun" and others dreamy goa. But all the tracks have the tribal and mystical feelings. Guest just someone else
Im from mexico, heard german trance (not a lot, but still like the style 'cos is very friendly, to start with this contains a mix of tribal beats, a goa feeling (speacially track 5 and 6), animal speaking in here which make a jungle feeling, aboriginal chants, its not very uplifter but for morning or home listening or trying something different this is for you. Lemmiwinks
aaaahhhh... nothing works better when I'm stuck in front of my computer than morning trance!! And this one is my best pick together with Feuerhake!! Who said germans only make harsh music? The only regret I have is that some samples are just too loud!! I mean you're just sitting, enjoying the music and suddenly you hear some monkey scream like crazy!! Maybe it's supposed to freak you out while dancing on a beach in the morning while tripping, but for home-listeining it's just annoying... So 8/10 from me... would've been more if it weren't for the production...
Guest Davidtolsn
i do not like this. first of all, except for track 5, the music is pretty average. it would be a decent album at that point. but the "tribal sounds..." are annoying! i like tribal music, i like tribal goa. but i don't like this. why? the "mystical tribal sounds" just sound like samples of african and south american people talking. they aren't talking about anything, just talking about what they're going to have for breakfast or something. or that's what it sounds like. it's just as "mystical" sounding as any other random speech sample. and other than the samples it's not tribal sounding at all! just techno. and the samples are way overused in my opinion. and it just ends on a bad note with that long german sample at the end of the last track, which might make sense if i knew german. anyway, except for track 5, i really can't recommend this. 2/
Time_Trap
Bodh Gaya : Ayahuasca (High Society) 10'11" Ani Shinan 08'23" The Spirits Arrive 08'12" Flight Beyond Milky Way 07'15" Catharsis Of Body And Soul 08'20" Im Rachen Des Jaguars 09'45" Inside The Anaconda 06'51" Shono Der Weltenbaum 06'48" Return Of The Soul 09'58" Natema Release Date : 1999 what do you think??? i am a bit lazy to make a track by track review... generally i find this album very nice, melodic with several tribal sounds, not the most energetic or hard ever, but it is... nice relaxing goa... some tracks trippy too ; 8/

seraph
GREAT album ! This is pure acid tribal trance at its best ! The atmosphere and sounds are so delicate and you feel like you are literally transported inside the trip itself. This is one of those rare conceptual albums from the time when people still actually cared about music and concepts and where boundaries were broken ( 98 - 00 period )... I like all songs but my favourite ones are : THE SPIRITS ARRIVE, CATHARSIS OF BODY AND SOUL, IM RACHEN DES JAGUARS, INSIDE THE ANACONDA, RETURN OF THE SOUL... 8/

Guest Rain
I've known this one for along time... acid influences indeed... it's been a while I heard this one but remember track 5 to be very good...
Lemmiwinks
ah how times change... I remember that I LOVED this album back then... but now I couldn't care less, I actually find it VERY average, same goes for the first 2 Medicine Drum albums (and while we're at it, I found their 3rd one was a DISGRACE to psytrance)... ah well...
