Guest Mark
I listened to this release in the store and chose not to buy it. The Best way to descride is it is average. Not a bad sound, but nothing to wet myself over. It definatly has a nice funky feel to it, but it sounds just like everything else being released, ie not original and wasn't worth my dwindling monetary supply. Guest Stormbringer
Llopis - Bazzoline / Real Pig Artist: Llopis Title: Bazzoline / Real Pig Label: Riff Raff Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Bazzoline 02. Real Pig Review: This is the first release from the new label RIFF RAFF. Llopis is no newcomer but I don´t think so many of you are familiar with Christian Lllopis anyway. Think about the sound of Baluns, Digital Structures, Iboga and you got something similar in your head that probably match the sound of what I got in my speakers right now. It´s some warm and groovy minimal stuff that I probably could live without, but since I´m a stupid recordcollector I had to buy it anyway :-D It won´t be remembered as one of the greatest releases of 2001 but I look forward to the next relese on Riff Raff. If I´m correct informed that will be an ep from Ticon!
Guest Nois[at]techmedia.poznan[dot]pl
HEhhh.... you;re talking about one of my very favourite EP's here... I think that llopis is one of the few recognisable producers on the progressive trance scene... Both of the tunes are funky and full of twisted progressive sounds, the basslines are far from being average or boring. Great stuff. I've heard the ticon EP -You can say that ticon sounds average, but llopis? I can't wait to hear his forthcoming album. To stormbringer - if You can, try llopis on dancefloor, with great soundsystem. It rocks.
AutoMath
Well Christian Llopis is one of the forerunners of the newschool progressive techno-trance sound here in the south of the north hemispehere. Originating from Örebro and now living in Copenhagen this guy have at several occations made a great impression on me and given me a wonderful time at the dancefloor a few years ago. So naturally I was very eager to hear his own productions since I was a big fan of his sets. The two tracks I've downloaded this far however didn't stand up to my expectations. But just as Nois here above says, Llopis is best heard on the dancefloor of a big outdoor system, and his songs probably don't go well for homelistening anyway. So until I've heard more from Llopis i'll rather prefer to have him behind the decks than on the disk.
