Guest Acidhive
Another new compil from Agitato filled with mostly Israeli tracks. Pretty good stuff here, let’s move by it track by track. Atomic Pulse deliver one of their standard kicking psytrance songs, with that great drive. The bassline is absolutely kicking here. Also pretty nice sampling in this one. It moves your feet!! Lemurians hit it hard with one of their darker songs. If you know their new album you know what to expect here and they do it again! Hard, dark and kicking. Wizzy Noise deliver a great song like most of the time. You just have to love their wicked style. This one rocks also and it has a really great bassline. An adequate description for these guys would be: Programmers of sound… :-) BLT takes off with a somewhat smoother song, but still retains that great kickdrum we’re used to. And at 4:20 or so a great bassloop kicks in… try to sit still with this one.. it won’t happen. Nice melody also. Insect Sun comes up. Same goes here as with Lemurians. If you know his album you know what to expect. One of the shorter songs here, it only lasts about 5:30 or so. Unbelievable. I tend to dislike it when Psytrance goes towards commercial length. This is also pretty standard fare. Dark sounds, pounding kickdrum. It’s not bad but not really a stormer either. Oh yeah: F.O.A.D. stands for: Faces of angels destroyed. Sounds like some sort of death/black metal title. What’s up with that huh? Let’s not stand still over this one too long. As a song it holds out, but it’s not really in line with the rest of the songs in my opinion. Ok, moving along, Gataka comes up next. Has a really nice fluffy intro, bit pounds swiftly along with a great kickdrum and driving bassloop. After that darkish & slower Insect Sun track we’re back in business! Quite nice song here, co-produced here by Matan, who is also Sesto Sento and compiled this whole compilation. At almost 5 minutes the track has a little weird break, and pumps along after that. Well, it works. It sounds a little strange but it works. After that it’s Sesto Sento time. A little note from myself: track 6 & 7 sound a lot like Skazi in his early days in my opinion. They’re pretty good. At least if you like Skazi’s style. It rounds off with Perplex, who delivers a pretty good track in my opinion, with a great melody and some really crisp sounds. So it rounds off in style. Overall, this cd gets 8/10 from me. It could’ve been better, because track 1,2,3,4 really hit it good. From track 5 it caves in a little. Track 6,7,8 are good but it never reaches the height of the first 4 tracks anymore. (except for track 8) Another gripe is that this cd is only about 56 minutes in length. A new low?? Damn Agitato, they could’ve easily fitted 2 more tracks!! I don’t hope this is going to be a new trend or something. Then again, the new Goa Head compilation (16) has finally decided to break with their 9 track per cd policy. They fitted 10 tracks on each cd and so reach over the 75 minutes per cd again! Way to go! Allright… but for this compilation the 8/10 solidly stands. I reccommend it to people looking for some good (mostly) Isreali pounding psytrance. This cd was at position 1 in the sales charts from Psyshop so there are bound to plenty of people out there that want to buy this.
Guest [Anonymous]
AWESOME compilation. The Lemurians and Wizzy Noise tracks are just too good. Lots of variety here. Tracks are not exactly mixed, but are "joined" together without a gap. No problem for DJs though. I would give it a 7.5/10, well, mebbe 8.
Guest Genetix
V/A - BPM Artist: Various Title: BPM Label: Agitato Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. Atomic Pulse : Elements 02. Lemurians : Oscisionie 03. Wizzy Noise : Painful Memory 04. BLT : Cruise Control 05. Insect Sun : FOAD 06. Gataka : Moon Child 07. Sesto Sento : From Led to Gold 08. Perplex : BBC 2002 Review: Well here it is the new compils from Agitato rec. The guy from Sesto Sento compiles it and I can tell you this is better than A.R. vol.3. More full on sound here. Lots of energy and happy feeling. (t1) Nice full on tune for the mornings. Great energy that will be moving you. (t2) Good groove and real morning feeling. Little melodies and you will be dancing in the morning. (t3) Wizzy with track from their last album. I don't really like it. Some semi melodies and hard bass line. But the arrangement of this track is not good. (t4) Groove tune. Nice dancy track with not that high psychdelia in it. (t5) Insect Sun now with great dark atmosphere. Nice floating inside the track. (t6) Pure minimal tune here. Dark psytrance with good samples. (t7) Matan here with powerful track. Great energetic kinda full on track. (t8) Good melodic track with an interesting sample. Overall not so good compil but definitively better form A.R. vol.3. I give 6.5/

Guest FelipeLemosBrasil
BLT and Sesto sento tracks are the best here. First, nice groove, bass and effects, second a powerful one, to the dancefloor.Lemurians did a god job here, also Atomic Pulse. 6,5/
Guest Goa Spirit
sesto sento track is the real standout... what an explosion after that break.... the rest are more formulistic cool party tunes, probably would get the crowd moving when played/// however, lots of other releases have been better recently/// so i would reccomend this to djs and full-on lovers, but if your scene is more like human blue or charasmatix, buy this once you have exhausted all other possibillities...
