Insejn
Infected Mushroom And Berry Sakharof - Birthday Artist: Infected Mushroom And Berry Sakharof Title: Birthday Label: BNE Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 04'48" Birthday 02. 08'23" Deeply Disturbed 03. 04'43" Static Dancing Review: So what do we got here? 2 tracks with lyrics and not psy at all. And one with some vocals and psy. And i must say. All three tracks sucks pretty much. The first track is in hebrew, which is good because they can't speak decent english. As you will clearly hear in the third track, and some in the second. Even tho the tracks has some cool moments. The piano in Bithday is simply amazing. But the synthy trancy sounds could be left out or replaced with much fatter sounds Deeply Disturbed is kinda trancy track. Absolutley not the Infected we are used to. Even tho their newst track has not be the Infected we are used to either, but that is just what i think. They use much less sound. It's sounds so empty. It's like they don't have time to do it better. The last track is terrible and should not be reviewd by anyone. Final Verdict: 5/
Guest zagalsky[at]zahav.net[dot]il
Well the guys came back with some interesting experimental stuff. What we hear here is their collaboration with one of Israeli leading rock singers, Berry Sakharof. And some surprising stuff they made indeed. Track1 - Birthday: Features Berry’s vocals (in Hebrew) and it’s actually a remix to Berry’s old track. A nice breakbeat driven 120 BPM track with some beautiful guitar solos by Berry. Little short but satisfying track. Track 2: Statik Dancing, is another remix to another Berry’s old song. But this time in English and 4/4 140BPM and Duvdev sings here with Berry. Some nice guitar melodies by Berry here as well but I find this track to be the weakest link of this single. The next track Deeply Disturbed in contrary is a great energetic explosive, the tempo mark is on 145, and boy it’s one wicked evil track. With evil vocal input courtesy of Duvdev (I am deeply disturbed and I am deeply unhappy) that really reminds me somewhat Prodigy and Fluke. Great atmosphere in this track with a lot of moans and scream sounds. All in all very recommended single and absolutely must for Infected Mushroom fans. And don’t let the Hebrew frighten you in the 1st track.
Guest InternationalKID
But is it really interesting for a intenational audience to listen to a local hebrew rock artist joining a burned out local trance act? I have listened to the release and find it awful boring. 3.5/

Guest Le Lotus Bleu
I find quite interesting the mix between pop rock of Berry Sakharof & usual pscho-electro trance from Infected Mushroom. Some people would probably consider the 2 first tracks too mainstream and just retain the last one coz more infected style. Personnally , i give a chance to the 3 tracks even if i'm not fond of song with singer coz IM try to do something different here. So i give an honest to this maxi 7/10. Guest Infected Mushroom rulezzzzz !
Infected Mushroom is like Michael Jordan and the rest, it's like some other kind of music, you can call it however you want, you can say whatever you want but it really doesn't matter, the main goal of this release is to show that IM are evolving and continuing the search for the winning formula of making people fly and come out of their body, I'm sure that the next album will be something that I'd never heard before and that is exactly why I'll buy it and enjoy it more than anything else
Guest K. Dick 78
So intelligent music !!!!! Definitly not for close minded people ! The futur of trance is here...Certainly not in minimalism where artists are eating each other's ideas.
Guest acev[at]gmx[dot]de
K.Dick 78 is right. If you are open minded, if you like a brilliant production, and intersting tunes check this one out... Those people up there talking about psytrance artists beeing gay or cheezy are only 18 year old honks who have not understood what our scene is all about :-] 9/10 for a good progressive release, I hope the future makes psytrance even more diverse, I hate buying albums which all sound the same..... Infected still rulez big time :-]

Guest FelipeLemosBrasil
WAAAAAAAAHHH!!! This is the future of music...this guys are millions of miles away from the rest of the trance artists...this is not just psytrance. It´s much more, it's richest, it´s music from the paradise... Birthday is simply perfest, makes me remember Dancing with Kadafi, perfect track, and the vocal is also pretty good!! Deeply disturbed is the Psytrance track here, and it RULES EVERYWHERE AND EVER!! Infected mushroom show what they can do in a fuckin system of sound, Erez and Duvdev at his best! Statik Dancing is a real nice pumpin´track, again the vocal is very good, the music is very good, oh Jesus, i cant believe! My opinion: Infecetd Mushroom is the best so far... perfect quality of sound, i am impressive... Thanx again, Erez and Duvdev, each track you made makes me a better person... my ears says: thanx thanx thanx thanx thanx, more more more more more... Congratulations Berry Sakharof, your participation is a nice surprise. And good vibes from BRASIL!! INFECTED MUSHROOM = GODS OF MUSIC. 10/
Guest yan84[at]aquanet[dot]co[dot]il
This is mostly not trance, but it is Infected Mushroom and they do team up here with one of the most important and innovative Israeli rock musician, and it's excellent music- so here's a review. First Infected & Berry give up a new version to Berry's Yomuledet (Birthday in Hebrew) from his Ham Al Hayareah (Calor en la Luna) album. The combination works well and adds happiness and bounce to the song. Then they cooperate in a new interpretation to Minimal Compact's classic Statik Dancin' from their first EP on Crammed (1981). For me this is really returning to the source! Minimal Compact, for those who don't know, where the first real innovative Israeli band to break out of Israel and had a decade of fruitful creativeness in Europe. This is a nice bouncy remix that does right to the original and gives it a good deserved travel through time to our new century. I would imagine it differently- more percussion and a little more psychedelic (the original has it all), but I'm not Infected. And I do miss Samy Birenbach's voice... Ending the CDS is Deeply Disturbed, a full on melodic track, Infected style, with a lot of music inside, and a good exploding break and entry. Nice and catchy, especially the vocal line, but got on my nerves pretty fast after I was humming to myself for 2 days: "I'm deeply disturbed and I'm deeply unhappy", especially I'm a happy content person. I hope the guys find some positive inspirations again soon. Recomendation: Interesting, different, and an opening for something new. Still feels like a short fast one-time project (which it was). People who love Berry & Infected should have this. Others interested in something different should check it out.
Guest ambientnomad[at]hotmail[dot]com
If it wasnt infected mushroom would you even listen to it in the first place...
freak51
This is the most self-indulgent, embarrassing, rancid piece of plastic I've heard this whole year. Highly unfortunate. Shudder. 1/10.
Guest LoneDeranger
The first track is a sort of continuation of Dancing with Khadafi (the last track from BP Empire), which I appreciate. Deeply Disturbed is actually pretty good, except for the stupid sample in the middle. Next, IM decided to throw in a curved ball with the flagrantly cheesy Static Dancing. Had the lyrics been left in hebrew, it would have been much better. Overall: 5/
