Guest evzene[at]hotmail[dot]com
S-Range - Black Lotus Artist: S-Range Title: Black Lotus Label: MDMT Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. Black Lotus 02. Trance Troopers Review: Very nice minimal from S-Range. "Trancetroopers" I personally like better, nice marching anthem and clever use of samples and the compression is perfect. Black Lotus is similar to the "Kym" track released on FR Records. This great minimal and a must in any psy collection! I have yet to see him live. 8/10. unit_
Great EP! I agree with evzene that trance troopers is the better track here and it's also one of my favorite minimalstic tracks. Black Lotus is more average. Highly recommend EP.

Guest djcpr[at]hotmail[dot]com
Trance Troopers is a very good minimal psytrance builder, it has all the elements to build the crowd up. If you've heard it then you know, if not then you should try to find it. Black Lotus is good, but not in the same way, and it is definately a rougher sounding track. Play it at a rave early in the morning, but not at the club. 7/
Guest smg
Both tracks are good, far from the minimal though. I have always liked s-ranges style though... anyhow, I think this is his best ep, and trance troopers (10/10) is the killer here. Totally brilliant track that sure-as-hell will make you move on the floor. Black lotus is interesting, but not very groovy I think. Anyhow (8/10) for fresh ideas.
